  1. Here we go again. 30 mph gusts on Tuesday... Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 49. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
  2. Don't you dare step aside. Your input is valued here. If he got offended by that post, it's on him. I won't speak for all, but those "Day in the Life" posts to me are funny. I take no offense if I'm parodied in them. It's good natured fun among friends. And you did step up and apologize, even though it wasn't really necessary.
  3. 80.2 right now after a spike to 81.5, so it appears that 82 might be my high for the day.
  4. Wow!!! 10:25AM and I'm already up to 70 in the backyard.
  5. Who drove them out? I hope it wasn't me with my warmanista posting tendencies. Most of the time, even though I am a warm, summer lover, I'm just joking.
  6. You did better than me. My backyard only got 0.03"
  7. Must have been a bunch of deleted posts. Someone give this second shift truck driver some cliff notes, please.
  8. It's ridiculous. I don't remember it being THIS windy THIS MUCH even just a few years ago. Winter and early spring usually feature some high wind days, but the past few years, and this one even moreso, have been excessive.
  9. Interesting how as the forecast temperature has gone up for Saturday, so has the wind speed. At first it was 20 mph gusts, then it was 26 mph. Now, look... Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. West wind 10 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph.
  10. I saw that... At least it'll be warm. Grandson has a HS varsity baseball game.
  11. Still breezy here, but (hopefully) not as bad as yesterday's winds.
  12. Delivering in Allentown and it's 53 here.
  13. So sick of this wind nearly every day...
  14. I was ready to until we got to the part where my days off would be mostly mid-week. That's an almost 90% deal breaker as my wife has a Monday to Friday, off weekends job. We'd hardly ever see each other, nor have opportunities to travel or recreate together.
  15. Actually I was looking to see if one had a Harrisburg address written on the side of it.
  16. Revisiting this post this morning as I have a choice to make today. One is to go with a new company where I'll be semi local, meaning that I'll be out away from the house a couple to several nights, or go back to the water in a shared truck situation running a 12 noon shift. The guy I'd share the truck with is not used to having a PM shift partner and is also picky about his truck. I want to be home every night, but at the same time, don't want to put up with being "picked on" because the dude doesn't like sharing, and having to re-adjust the seats and mirrors every day. Nothing is ever easy...
  17. Thankfully ours were emptied out by the trash guys before the wind cranked up. They start early around these parts and sometimes are out picking up at 1 or 2 am.
  18. Nothing like doing a trash can chase before you have your morning coffee. Our whole street for blocks is riddled with them this morning. I got ours, and all my close in neighbors' cans and put them in safe places, but farther down the lane is an obstacle course...lol
  19. lol...true As for the video, there's been a couple of positive developments. I might go back to hauling water, but I do have an interview with another company tomorrow hauling potted plants and flowers, and if I like what they offer, I may go there instead. As a friend of mine said. "The past is in the rearview mirror, keep pushing FORWARD..." We shall see.
  20. We certainly don't miss out on the wind though. It's already gusty (from the south) this afternoon here.
  21. How about 3 in a row? The 6z lays down the goods as well.
