  1. I don't think we need this to verify for that to be the case after today, IMHO.
  2. Posting on phone from outside so apologies if already posted, but some nice 24-36 colors on the updated map from BOX
  3. Snow has gotten lighter in Cambridge over the past 45 mins or so. Just over 15.5" here total, including Saturday, with the caveat that measuring this is tough.
  4. Euro is east but still a hit for Boston and a bit west, and still nice for CC if temps hold, if my weenie eyes aren't deceiving me
  5. Harvard closed for snow tomorrow. Second time this year, and the third time in the past 25 years.
  6. Last few radar frames look like Boston about to get into the stationary band
  7. Cantore coming to town. Jim Cantore ‏@JimCantore 2h2 hours ago Leaving this awful day in #Atlanta for what could be the next 8 days in #Boston for what could be 3 storms!!
  8. The warning was also updated by BOX in the past half hour. Total includes what already fell, so I guess another 6 to 14/ 14 to 20 still, which is in line with the earlier warning. * Snow accumulations...total snow accumulations of 10 to 18 inches expected through early Tuesday morning. A localized heavier band of 18 to 24 inches remains possible from near Boston and into northeast Massachusetts. * Timing...steady snow re-develops late this afternoon and early this evening. Heaviest snow falls from tonight into Monday evening. Snow may be falling at 1 to 2 inches per hour near the I-95 corridor during the Monday morning rush hour.
  9. Yeah, I think this is the afternoon update. Usually see it around 3:30 or 3:45 but might have been early today.
  10. It's total snow, so including what already fell. Not a bad map. This storm isn't that radically different for most of us than what it was 12 hours ago. It's going to snow, and for a lot of us it's going to snow a lot. The feel of this thread is as if there is a storm cancel, I don't understand
  11. (Commence BOS freakout) "* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...12 TO 18 INCHES THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT. A LOCALIZED BAND OF 18 TO 24 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE NEAR THE BOSTON...TO BEDFORD...TO BEVERLY AND LAWRENCE CORRIDORS IN NORTHEAST MASSACHUSETTS THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT."
  12. It's not just the snow amounts in a vacuum, the lack of places to put the snow Is going to make bus travel incredibly difficult as well. Wouldn't be shocked if bus service shuts down Monday at least.
  13. Seriously, how is Boston going to handle this? I can't imagine public schools opening there until at least Wednesday or Thursday
  14. Is it just me or is GFS looking like pre-coastal is a somewhat more significant storm than we thought 12 hours ago
  15. Snowing in Cambridge atm. Will see snow every day for five days straight
  16. If not for the last 10 days, this thread would probably be like 50 pages right now
