this is the one time in my life that i hope the Tolland mastiff is the jackpot, with a sharp north cut-off.

ok let's cherry pick one month. July-didn't you have around 18" of rain (I had 15"). my monthly avg temp was ~2 degrees BN. what was your July avg temp compared to normal?

Quarries are still very popular here. There’s one by my house that you need to be invited to join through a current member. Otherwise, they kick you out. There are a bunch around here though.
i used to frequent a quarry in Rockport, it had a big crane hanging out over it. I crawled out on it to jump in the water one time, but i chickened out. It was seriously high.

i am really disappointed in my lawn this year, thanks to all the rain. red thread is running wild, and there are about 300 different species of mushrooms growing. Usually I aerate and overseed in the early fall, but going to skip it this year. it's just too wet to mess around with.

summer started out pretty dry with 3" May, 1.5" June. Since then, 15.5" July, 5.25" August, notso dry.
-
.25" sunday, 1" Monday (mostly after 6pm), 1.8" deluge overnight, all of which fell between 2 and 3:30am. 2.9" storm total. Up to just over 5" on the month. soggy times.

Yeah we all want the big storm, but without having to live through the after effects lol. Days/weeks w/o no power is brutal.
according to @weatherwiz, losing power is just an inconvenience

I would much rather lose power for a week then have flooding problems. Losing power is merely just an inconvenience. Flooding...well that can be just devastating
no that is not true. Losing power over a long period of time can be way more than an inconvenience for most. possible to lose all frozen and refrigerated foods, people on wells have no water, etc.

Looks like a possible hot stretch at some point this weekend into next week..perhaps just more next week...and then back likely broken based on what I see. And no, not because of climo....I mean the pattern.
i could have sworn that we were told HHH due to WAR right through Labor day?
