  1. about 5-10 min of steady rain here w/ a couple wind gusts. That was it. Meh....tv 27 dude was right down here. Radar off to the west looks to be falling apart over cashtown. hoping tomorrow does better down here
  2. Btw. I saw 100 on car thermo between Lancaster and ephrata around 4pm.
  3. That’s what I was getting at this am when I suggested the high qpf totals. Line is a sloowwww mover and likely gonna fill some pools up. My lawn is hoping it survives for a few more hours.
  4. radar starting to show some potential for true central. We might even get a pinch if that first line holds up east of the mtns.
  5. spot on.....pun intended. Gonna be localized qpf maxes unless we get some training (were the front to stall as earliers depictions were showing the possibility. The more progressive look still gives most of us an appreciable event tomorrow, but weekend looks drier due to progressive boundary eeking too far SE for us. Otoh, it looks a bit less ridgy and more active in the mid/long range (based on model watchology....not tellies). That's too deep a dive for me in summer.
  6. hehe. I missed yas....what can i say? hoping y'all are having a great summer.
  7. Frontal boundary still pretty far NW. I think he's more right than wrong, but afternoon max heating might surprise. Watch WV as thats where our show will come from. Boundary gets close enough and mixes w/ max heating and maybe so. These pesky SE ridges usually need better forcing for LSV as we are too far east of the domes western edge.
  8. if we get the qpf modeled (and likely) for thursday.....I'll take the NAM weekend maps for $1,000 Alex....
  9. that 0 is literally right over my house. Will get my son to do the shoveling...lol
  10. 41 for low at cabin will have my wood burning alright
  11. at that rate....I'm a millionare. Don't tell anyone though, I dont want to be in that tax bracket. I busted my ass to get it, n dont want to give my profits away. lol
  12. Handful of flakes around lunch right off rt 72 in Lancaster. Looked around for trees with white flowers...saw none. Hehe Car temp said 46. Seen it before but not often. Happy spring n summer to all.
  13. Much the same in Akron. We had one crack so loud n so close, i looked between my wife and I to see if it hit between us . I levitated a good 12" from it. LOLs. Hope ya'll r enjoying spring.
  14. verbatim 18z gfs shows one helluva cutoff aoa easter. Not sure I'm buyin, but man thats a BIG backdoor as NE would freeze while rest of country is above norm. We've seen it before, so I'm not saying its not likely, but its a doozy....if it verifies (which I'm suspect based on how far S the anomalous cold penetrates). If you loop it you see it just "drop in" from land of the cannooks and blows up. Just not sure how that happens...Dunno.
  15. all good. Keep trackin. Truth is they typically dont diverge that much, so I made an assumption...but in seeing that divergence, it gives me even more reason to "worry" about this even happening. I typically us 12k and only 3k for continuity, until we close in tight....then I shift focus. Go get it man. I'm rootin for ya
  16. lol you got me. I looked at 12k which was meh beyond and assumed 3k was a bust. I guess we have a shot. but we take what we can get in mid march.
  17. If the look holds, I MAY get up to see the last flakes of the season (although verbatim, I'd need to drive into the office to do so as I'm about 10 - 15 miles east of the r/s line Edit - just peeked at meso's n NAM isnt feelin it. "best" snow panel I could find. Weenie cancel.
  18. Glad you came back bud. Looking forward to next autumn and first talks of cold/snow (hopefully).
  19. Looking at Ens guidance says that once beyond the weekend and into next week....its curtains for us winter folk. I see occasional SER and zonal which means normal to above and 2m temp anomalies have no blues where we want them for spring snows. I'll be checkin in on occasion, but will likely will be checkin out as my to do list is rather large this year. Lots of big projects to keep my focus. It was a great winter despite the quiet ending. Thanks for the good convo boys n girls.
  20. First flakes at Manheim exit of 283 and by the time I got to office I was getting a bit excited as it was picking up to where i almost reported -SN, but as quickly as it started...it went away. Oh well.
  21. Flurries here in Etown. Couple lonely parachutes mixed in too.
