  1. She has tried to talk them into leaving. They have metal surge shutters or something similar but I fear for them
  2. My coworker’s parents are in Fort Myers and did not evacuate. I don’t understand that if you have the means. They are pretty close to the water
  3. On the Pivotal GFS total qpf map I looked at. Hover over the area and it will give you amounts
  4. I think 25-50 is the next shading on NWS maps? Pivotal total Euro qpf has some 25-28" amounts near Tampa Harvey had some 60" amounts (not that I would expect anything like that)
  5. This would leave a mark. Shallow bay. Oof
  6. I'm definately curious about how Tampa Bay would handle a surge of a storm hitting at an angle like that. I assume that has been modelled pretty often (slosh model?)
  7. You are correct for things like power and trees. I don’t foresee major structural stuff. But I know squat about these things.
  8. I’m thinking rainfall. But surge could be bad depending on individual bays and the angle it is pushing. that’s a lot of rain modeled
  9. Flooding concern prob the biggest threat.
  10. My son’s pic wasn’t nearly as impressive
  11. Falcon 9 from FL courtesy of Space X. Our son saw it. This pic below is from Maine. I missed it
  12. Our son was driving home in RI and saw the Falcon 9 launch from FL I guess you could see it in Maine (which is where this pic is from)
  13. Hey, you’ve managed to kill every other severe threat with a thread. Go for it!!! (some of yours have sorta worked out) I don’t see much happening here.
  14. Any idea what their record low high for the date is?
  15. Meh. I don’t have a station. I hope you aren’t too bothered by that. Glad you have yours online.
  16. Local Davis site has 1.23” for the day 8.41” for the month. Stein? What Stein?
  17. Pretty intense rain for part of my commute. Sky was getting really dark. Saw some interesting scud if that is possible.
  18. For some reason I always think that happened earlier in September... no idea why that is stuck in my head. And the odds of getting exactly that track and strength are pretty low, but wouldn't take a big storm to do similar damage (minus the deaths)
