  1. Yeah. Our hottest this season here was in April. Then a couple of days in June
  2. No deer flies really at all this summer. A few in July. Now we have some relentless no see um things. The surface of my pool had zillions of dead gnat type things yesterday evening which was weird.
  3. Part of our school has AC. I am in a core section. No AC but little sun. The rooms across the hall get full afternoon sun. We are up on a hill. When I left, one room was 87F Car thermo was at 93F on Rte 2 near KFIT
  4. Looks like 85.5 so far at home 87F at KFIT My classroom is 82F with high dews. Perfect
  5. 87F for the high here. Highest since early July The next few days we roast. Paving on hiatus
  6. 83.8F so far. Warmer than any day in August. And hotter temps inbound
  7. We had so many rainy days that dropped an inch or more of water. Plus tons of clouds and meh temps. After an early July warm spell we never got the pool temps up to where I like it. My next door neighbor has already covered his (brand new last year). I will keep it going for a bit longer
  8. Pool temp yesterday evening was around 69F. Curious how it much it gets added. I’m hoping to use it a few times this week before shutting it down for the year Really didn’t get to use it much this year
  9. Dews here still in the upper 50s but I know where it is going AC will be running for much of this week. Paving will be unpleasant as will my classroom
  10. Also better than the “summer” months of JJA where I got 30” of rain Where was this a month ago?
  11. We did stop at Jules ice cream near the Beach House at the end. We. Had done a part of the bike trail (and Colt on bikes) last year but this was our first time we did the whole thing. Our son had gone to school in Bristol so we knew that well. Lots of places right on the trail to get food etc. Beach House, Del’s, a coffee place, more ice cream, a taco place. The trail currently has two detours because they are rebuilding two old bridges that are rotting away (in Barrrington). I would ride that often if I lived there. 1.75 hour drive right now
  12. Yesterday was a top 10er for sure. We used it to ride the East Bay Bike Path in RI. Started at the Bristol end. Rode to East Providence, the. Back. 28.1 miles which is probably my longest ride ever. Best bike trail I’ve ever been on
  13. “The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder I'm an over-forty victim of fate” See you soon Jimmy
  14. Morning low of 45.1. Three mornings in a row in the 40s but up from yesterday’s 43
  15. No one ever started a met Summer 2023 banter thread either. The Sping one kept engaging
  16. It hasn’t been hot but the humidity and rain have been killer.
  17. My kilowatt hours used would call this one worse. Running AC so much this summer
  18. Looks like we had close to an inch of rain out here. I had no idea. There was one brief deluge at work but nothing crazy
  19. I had to spend a chunk of today moving heavy lab tables and other furniture. That kinda sucked. Kids arrive tomorrow.
  20. Generally the further north they get the weaker. Not that far north but still a record
  21. Franklin is the deepest Atlantic storm this far north on record 926
