  1. The real stuff is coming, and the snow growth continues to improve here as well. Going out to walk and measure. Will send pics for the needy.
  2. I have to say I’m enthusiastic about today looking at radar. The. Dry slot in central mass is slipping off east and there are good returns to our west and a strengthening storm. Maybe we get into a deform band with 2/hour for a bit later. Light snow but steady and accumulating small flakes but growth slowly improving.
  3. Nice in the overnight from GYX National Weather Service Gray ME 329 AM EST Mon Jan 23 2023 ...WIDESPREAD MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL THROUGH MONDAY... .Low pressure will cross the Gulf of Maine today, continuing and in some cases increasing snowfall over the region. Although there will be somewhat of a lull during the first part of the day as the storm undergoes a bit of a transition entering the Gulf of Maine, the storm will strongly amplify and renew heavy snowfall over the warned area through today. Snowfall rates exceeding an inch per hour will be possible as banded snowfall organizes and translates across the forecast area by this afternoon and through the evening, bringing significant travel impacts for the entire day, particularly through the I-95 corridor and into the urbanized areas of southern New Hampshire during the evening commute. Snow will end from west to east through the evening hours as the system pulls away from New England. Gusty northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph will also be in play today and tonight, which may lead to a few power outages where wet and sticky snow from this morning clings to trees and power outage
  4. Wpc upping qpf to >1.25 for wed thurs but I think some of that is likely liquid after a good front end dump
  5. Noticing a pivot is starting as direction of more up is now more south north than west east
  6. I noticed snow growth has improved in the last 15 minutes. Hope we can hold off the changeover, although it will change back to the higher ratio deformations know if GYX is correct.
  7. Not sure how much. Looking out window maybe4-5? Gyx very enthusiastic for the day. starting to ge breezy
  8. Noticing that weather underground now has 5 to 8 inches overnight and 5 to 8 tomorrow. That is a pretty good increase from what was 3 to 5 inches for each period. At this rate, though we will have 5 inches shortly after midnight. I don’t know if we’re going to have this sort of snow growth all night but the radar looks fantastic.
  9. Snow growth seems to be really really good, so I imagine the ratios are better than you might expect with these temperatures
  10. There are those lilies to 15. those lollipops? Moderate snow becoming heavy here. Already an inch in pretty quick order. Wpc has more QPF for this storm than Wednesday Thursday.
  11. As crappy as I thought the radar looked in the last storm, it looks really good tonight with lots of precipitation to come and developing as it approaches. Those 12 spots will happen.
  12. WPC still enthusiastic about Wednesday. Strong storm and 1"qpf up here. But my area definitely on the line, probably moreso than tonight. Hope we can somehow trend this better for many because it looks like a fairly dynamic system.
  13. The place I used to go when I lived in Philly, was Quebec City in early February during their winter carnival. What a place! And lots and lots of snow in a great environment.
  14. A foot from me to you. Not believing MHT Jack but would be great for them and mass.
  15. Yea temps are busting. We have quite a snow load on trees but perhaps the storm will be windy enough?
