  1. Fundamental theme of this winter...2-3" of stat padding snow tonight that'll all be washed away by tomorrow afternoon.
  2. Looks better for a little front end snow than it did 24 hours ago. I'd go with 2" as well before the changeover. Such a warm winter but we're weaseling snowfall.
  3. 2.2" storm total at YYZ, and 12.1" on the month so far. Even with just nickel and dimes (mostly nickels actually), February is already the snowiest month of 2019-20.
  4. Too much drifting to get an accurate measurement but I'd say just under 2" for a storm total here. Roads have become pretty slick too.
  5. eyeballing, looks like less than 1". I'm actually surprised we didn't get virga-stormed.
  6. I think north is an issue too. That lobe swinging around the base of the PV near Hudson Bay is too progressive. If it retrograded, or was even just slower progressing, it might have given the southern wave a chance to go neutral and amplify the sfc low. Instead it just speeds off and washes everything to its south away too. If only we could draw these maps.
  7. I have to say, it doesn't really matter that much to me if a 1 foot+ storm comes from a moisture-laden gulf low or a clipper + enhancement. Not that I don't appreciate bomb-like storms, but lack thereof wouldn't be too much of a source of complaints from moi. But to each their own.
  8. At 18 on the NAM you can see a scenario were this becomes a respectable storm but instead everything de-amplifies and shears east.
  9. Looks like a solid turd of a storm. I'd suggest doing as I am and not wasting precious seconds of your life on it.
  10. Nice work. Capture a few accidents and you'll get a couple of 100k views.
  11. Everything's cyclical it seems. These last 3 winters have had almost a 90s feel to it, which were decent for us snow-wise but weren't particularly cold.
  12. 3.3" at YYZ. All the beautifully caked trees being washed with 33 degree drizzle now
  13. Nice frontogenesis band about to move in. Maybe we can rip some 1-2"/hr rates for about an hour.
  14. I wasn't quibbling with the statement being issued in the first place. But by Thursday evening it was apparent there was nothing "special" about this storm for us, I think it could have been dropped. It's easy to criticize though, I get it.
  15. Barring some horrible luck, looks like we'll have back-to-back-to-back 40"+ seasons for the first time since 2002-03/03-04/04-05.
  16. Two wave total of 3" at Pearson. Seems a little high considering I think I'm still seeing grass tips, but with compaction between the snowfalls I guess it's possible.
  17. Completely usable day here in the 6. I don't know why there's a special weather statement still in effect. I think we can handle 2-3" of snow in February without a headline.
  18. 9z RAP/6z RGEM go crazy with 6"+ tonight using Kuchera, but I'll believe it when I see it.
  19. After an inch and change of snow, dry slotted. Up until yesterday morning it looked like right now would be the main show and tonight-Friday would be a coating at best. Now, it's been flipped around. Great work models. I actually took today off work to avoid the crap commute and tomorrow I'll be stuck in it.
  20. Man models have been wildly inconsistent with that secondary development. GFS/RGEM really trying to play-up tomorrow night vs. tonight imby.
