  1. It was 36° when I left my house this morning so I wasn't thinking about black ice. Driving down the valley this morning every bridge is covered with ice. Currently rain and 32° at my office. And I only read the long term thread for entertainment purposes...and for whatever griteater and a couple of others have to say. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  2. Woke up with 3.75" on the board. It's still coming down though so I may add a little more to that. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  3. I'm sitting at 23.7° and my snow isn't wet. Huge, glittery flakes here. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  4. 30° with moderate snow in Wolf. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  5. Boyer is a really nice down to earth guy. Brad P. has always seemed really arrogant to me. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  6. I hope you folks in the foothills get a nice surprise man. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  7. I have 4" in my nws forecast from gsp. 1/4 mile away from here the forecast is for 6" from mrx. I'm good either way. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  8. It's hard to go against Mt. Mitchell for me. I get more NWF that Mitchell here, but I have a feeling it'll do well enough on the front end to beat Leconte, even with the nwf. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  9. Currently 33° and snow in Wolf. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  10. That map is 20-25" too low for my area (Wolf Laurel). I wonder how they come up with these totals. I'm guessing radar data is part of it, which would explain why it's off by so much. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  11. Redundancy is a good thing. You can always light the pilot with a match or fireplace lighter in a pinch until you get the igniter. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  12. You probably haven't purged all of the air out of the line. I have to do that before I can get the pilot lit on my logs. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  13. Believe it or not they delivered Monday! First time that I've seen them use snow chains. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  14. You ain't kidding. From temp has steadily risen from 19.9° at 10pm to 40.4° at 10am. 20° overnight. This Sunday sure looks interesting. I was hoping for some sunshine to melt some of this today, but it doesn't look like that's happening. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  15. Nice man! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  16. The wind is dead calm here fortunately. Air temp of 13°. The pond is frozen solid at my office. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  17. The snow finally stopped about 10 minutes ago. I have 9.75" on my board but I think this was a better flow event than 12/1 even though I had slightly more on the board. The drifts testify that we got more, but who knows. Hey@MotoWeatherman how much did Beech get? Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  18. I'm going to head up and see how much is up on top of Big Bald this afternoon. It's 1100' higher than my house. I'm betting there are some monster drifts up there. And I need to check how much is on my patio, it's protected by my house and a hillside. It's just a booger to get down the rock steps in deep snow. My board is 100% unprotected...perhaps I should move it. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  19. Well, I have 16° and 8" on my board with 2-3'+ drifts. I really wonder how much fell, but like Joe said there's no telling. And it's still coming down at a good rate. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  20. Just checked and I've picked up 4" on my board since dusk, even with all the wind. There's gonna be some big drifts beside the house in the morning! Oh, and I got my propane today! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  21. It's been hammering here since 5 but I don't have a clue about accumulation. The wind is blowing it everywhere. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  22. Snow is finally picking up in intensity here in Wolf. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  23. Yup. Anyone having concerns should look at the KJKL and KMRX radar. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  24. A little dry air above us this morning. I have 22° and about ½" so far. Check out the WV this morning! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
