When Mother Nature picks an area to be dry, she really goes all in.

Man. Our deluge is turning into a shower. Hope a quick T-storm pops up in the last 20 minutes.

I know right?

Exciting to see the plants in my garden growing little tongues trying to catching one of the drops that fell. Total rain accumulation on radar for my neighborhood barely measurable.

I guess a spit in the bucket is better than nothing. Interesting how the heavy rain is lifting out to our West and not sliding East. Storms to our east. Lucky if we get a parting thundershower after it all goes bye bye.

My son and I were outside playing tennis when we heard it. Thought it was a tanker explosion or a plane crashed. But what was weird was there was a gush of wind right after for like 20 seconds. No wind all day before. Boom. Then gush of wind. Then no wind for the rest of the day. I was thinking of those pressure waves after a bomb explodes. Wind is pushed outward, then rushes back in. Could a pressure wave at 30k feet reach the ground like that and causes gusts? No more wind after that. Light breeze for the rest of the day. So it had to be related.

Oh boy. Not this again. Bone dry looking at radar dry up.

If the upcoming snow threat becomes more real, I may have to go and rescue my weather station that is currently hanging off the side of my roof at a 30 degree angle. hehe. Might just get a new one. The anemometer broke.

I ate a few during my bike ride. Good protein boost. hehe

Has some sleet move through NE. DC for about 5 seconds this afternoon. Nice little surprise.

Snow is coming. I can smell it. Perhaps I can finally use my brand new electric snowblower that's still in the box from last winter. 'Cause you know if you buy snow removal equipment, it won't snow that season. But if you by outdoor sports equipment thinking it won't snow, then that's the year it snows 8 times. hehe

People screaming no. Birds are like, "We got this. We're actually having fun. We worry for YOU." hehe

Which reminds me, I need to replace my weather station. Or perhaps it just needs batteries.

Really hope the remnants of IAN put a dent in this drought on my street. hehe. A good 5 inch soaker would do the trick.

FYI. Not sure what's going on but a weird substance fell from the sky today. Not sure what it was. It's everywhere. It's clear. Anyone know what it is? \s Got a nice rain shower in Adelphi. Heavy enough to hear through the windows.

My grass didn't turn all green from the rain. Fail.

Storms pulsed TWICE to my west and reformed to my east. Gotta love it. Southern part of the line held together well. Looks like I just need to leave my sprinklers on for 5 hours.

Let's see if I can get a break. Storms reformed around me not over me. So dry even the weeds are dying. hehe

Yeah. I love it. Not much wind. Just much needed rain.

The one over DC looks like it might produce hail soon.

I have a feeling things are going to get interesting for me in the next 20 minutes.
