  1. Seems like my prediction wasn't too far off. I predicted I would struggle to get .50 inches of rain from this event. I got .57 inches. lol The drought continues. Really wish we could get one or two days of constant drizzle and rain that adds up to 2". That's all I'm asking for. Or at least a storm that sits over me for 30 minutes and then dissipates. It is interesting to experience micro-droughts in an area that usually gets enough widespread rain each year.
  2. Not so spectacular down here. Nada. No rain, no wind, no thunder. Just clouds. TV mets were hyping 2-4 inches of rain for slow-moving storms. Extrapolating that with my current summer climo, that means .50 inches or less for me. lol Again, watched reds on the radar to my west only to get nothing.
  3. Well this is a pleasant surprise. Storm headed right for me. Let's see if it holds up 20 minutes out. .
  4. Point-and-click still has 60% chance of rain for me tonight. Looking at the radar, I'm intrigued how this is gonna happen. It's more like a weak 10%. Unless something randomly kicks off some showers
  5. Yeah. THinking about editing my statement.
  6. Yeah. I saw that. Between 11am and 2pm and the radar is as clear as the skies above. almost looks promising. Edit:
  7. I got .10 inches out of that line. Maybe it was raining sideways? [emoji19] .
  8. It got warned eventually. At long last a direct hit. .
  9. Over an inch of rain in one storm. Woo hoo! Bout time. I’m happy. My lawn is happy. All is well in the universe. .
  10. Impressive totals being posted. 1.25 inches at my house. I guess that’s the best I can hope for compared to the last 4 weeks. .
  11. Finally the slow steady rain I’ve been waiting on for weeks! .
  12. St. Charles county is going to get some good rains. Meanwhile, I just heard a rumble of thunder from that shower over Palmer Park. Bone dry still over my house. No rain yet.
  13. No wonder people who love weather wait until winter. lol
  14. 84F with a dew point of 73. I'm optimistic that we'll get something. A strong front is coming through. If I get nothing out of today, you may want to check in on me tomorrow to see if I'm still sane. lol
  15. Sitting at 88F with a dewpoint of 71. Didn't expect so much sun today. It almost looks like a high pressure sky.
  16. Today was awesome! .06 on the gauge for today with faint distant rumbles of thunder! Win! Two more days left of potential severe? There better be basktball-sized hail on Thursday.
  17. That cell approaching Warrenton looks like it could grow big and nasty in the next 30 minutes.
  18. I'm sitting at 88F. I'm not so sure it is because of a lack of heating. I thought there were disturbances that would kick off storms? Perhaps whatever is at the VA/NC border is stealing all of the dynamics from our area? Or is that feature supposed to cycle through our area after 8pm tonight? It looks to be moving north.
  19. Looks like the Richmond area will be rockin again today.
  20. I'm already up to 84.7F THe sun disappeared on me. But I would think that would be just fine for today's threat.
  21. I see sun and blue sky in Adelphi. 82.2F. Dewpoint is 74. I'd imagine that's enough to get some storms going. 87 shouldn't be too hard to reach in a few hours if it stays partly cloudy.
  22. Looks like storms are gearing up for a strike at the Richmond area. Waiting for some reds to show up west of Front Royal.
  23. Seeing patches of brown in my lawn. It's getting serious. Time for some soaking rains. Hope this stretch of 4 days of rain does the trick if my lawn is to survive the rest of the summer. Hail and wind I can do without though. :-)
  24. I've been in but have been left out. I'm becoming cynical. lol Meanwhile, Columbia gets tornadoes and LaPlata doesn't. Dogs and cats must be living together watching pigs fly overhead.
