Hey @DRVTS radar looks like it's snowing by you, is it?
-
1.35, low of 35. Flakes early tomorrow AM sound likely for some of us.

Same here-rain every weekend has made things saturated and with vegetation going dormant it's soggier now than say a month ago...
Yup. As stuff started giving up in mid September the ground got softer (if that was possible). Now it's just spongy.
@wdrag Heh, the reservoirs are only that low up here because they've had the gates open for weeks. My local ponds are past bankful and the creeks rage 24/7.

Misty and foggy muck. Visible satellite has clouds strapped in from CNJ north - but wouldn't rule out some northward advance and breaks of sun later. Warmer 60s perhaps a 70 CNJ. Cool down / chill down 11/1-11/3 first frosts and freezes inland Tue night / Wed Am, Wednight / Thu am, before moderating back to and above normal. Looks like the weekend streak could break this coming weekend 11/4-5. Coold back down by the 8th and into the following next weekend 11/8 - 11/11 - stormy longer range guidance that period to break the relatively dry stretch.
Dry stretch? My backyard stopped squishing when you walk on it on Thursday for the first time in 2 months. I don't think of that as dry.

Good Sunday morning... I see it's measured in many parts of NYC metro this morning in the 3A-6A time frame. Does that qualify as a rain day for the weekend?
It may not do too much today but it should rain or drizzle some more with most of the action a little north of I80.
Already over .25 today.

@Volcanic Winter Try to find Einstok Toasted Porter and grab some for that hike. That beer is just perfect for a backcountry break

Might have to put the AC unit back in my window at this rate.
Ha, this morning I said to my wife don't turn the AC on without taking the cover off first.

Kinda fits with that run posted in the other thread with the big storm running out of the Gulf, across FL then up the coast (plastering us up here as it leaves)

Here they close because it's supposed to be wintery at some point in the day.

I have all sorts of stuff still blooming, the raspberries leaves are yellow and crumbling but it's still sending new canes and flowering. I'm still getting a cup a day of nice fresh berries.

Great, LI sees first flakes before I do up here. I might've missed it just before sunrise when the temp bottomed at 33° though.
