  1. When I first saw them, I didn't see the mother, I thought it was a couple kittens till I saw the mother and 5 kits, then I knew. We had a real issue a couple years ago with skunks, neighborhood pets were getting sprayed, my dog got sprayed one night too. Then, they all disappeared, my brother said someone in the neighborhood trapped them and relocated them because he got sick of his cat and dog getting sprayed.
  2. I was walking my dog last year about this time of year and saw the same things only the babies were smaller. I think the white fur makes them look bigger, the ones I saw were almost all black with a little white stripe.
  3. We had one prowling around the neighborhood a couple years ago, their scream is kind of eerie, sounds like a baby screaming. I was walking my dog one night after dark and there was one in my neighbor's yard, he screeched and climbed up a tree and hid behind the tree and just stayed there not moving. I wouldn't want my dog to corner one, but I think they're just as afraid of us and dogs as we are of them.
  4. That would cool things off nicely
  5. I dozed off for a few minutes after dinner when I woke up it was dark, thought I slept for a couple hours but it was just the storms, it's actually sunny here now.
  6. T-storms rolling in now, down to 72, dog dove under my desk
  7. We lost a cat too, but I think it was coyotes, we hear them howling close by now and then so it's just an educated guess.
  8. I'm in Templeton today. Only 82, but is humid
  9. Nothing worse than a pile of mouse shit and they pee everywhere, it just always dribbles out of them
  10. I noticed Home Depot now sells those mouse traps with the 5 gallon bucket with the parts you need to set it up. One year I caught over 20 mice in my basement, it gets bad when the weather cools in the fall. I was thinking of setting the bucket up in my basement this year.
  11. I live on top of a hill and my yard is a lot of ledge so I've had quite a few close strikes. You on a hill?
  12. Is it a set up like for mice? I have a couple cats that take of the munks here although they like to play with them and bring them in the house now and then while they're still alive.
  13. I did once, shook my house and blew all my electronics, 2 TVs, vcr and computer. I'm protected now if it happens again but that was an expensive lesson.
  14. A Puerto Rican friend of mine just opened a Spanish restaurant, the food is good, also some interesting dishes.
  15. Weakening already, maybe a sprinkle
  16. If those T-storms hold together I might get hit.
  17. Just hit 90, not sure what the dew is my sensors way off but it's oppressive
  18. I think my dew sensors off too, I have 67, feels more humid at 87 degrees.
  19. It does seem that area is warmer than surrounding areas
  20. The higher the grass the tougher to push, I always cut the grass every week when I was a kid to make it as easy as I could. If I ever move to a house with a small lawn, I'll use the Worx push for the lawn. You can buy several of them to pull behind your tractor like golf courses use. Thought about buying some for my current lawn.
  21. I'm at 81, don't think I ever hit 90, checked a couple this afternoon and it was mid 80s, definitely humid.
  22. Frozen food aisle at the grocery story
