  1. I may be able to scrounge up a years supply from this storm.
  2. Same here, I had a few of the Koosman/Seaver rookies cards that I destroyed, last I looked they were worth a few hundred.
  3. I had 18", my sister at a high elevation in Charlton had close to 3 feet with huge drifts. That storm started a parade of good winters in the early 90's.
  4. Would love to see a slow moving retrograding low like this in the winter. 3 feet would be nice.
  5. I have a mulberry tree that drops all its leaves first frost. That's how I know we had the first frost, leaves are brown now but will stay on the tree until the frost hits.
  6. Hasn't been bad here either, I assume that will change tonight though.
  7. This should be a good test to see if I waterproofed my chimney.
  8. I had to drive to an appt one time and I couldn't read my map, surprised I got there, this was before talking GPS.
  9. But the summers make up for it, you can golf at midnight.
  10. Don't be in a rush to leave either, takes a long time for that bottleneck to thin out.
  11. We usually take 495 and at the exit for Route 1 there's a restaurant, we'd eat there and the restaurant has a bus to shuttle you to the game. Haven't been in two years so not sure if they still do it. I'll lookup the name of the restaurant if you're interested. Cheaper parking and les hassle driving down route 1. If you plan on tailgating then it's not a good idea.
  12. That looks good, I have to get my garden going again next year.
  13. It's a great system but expensive to install. What you getting for a wood stove Spanks?
  14. Ticks too, been pulling 2-3 a day off my cat, don't want those little bastages in my house.
  15. My sister in Maine had the Mitsubishi's installed a couple years ago. Her furnace broke down and she used them for heat. She got the furnace fixed but I keep telling her to use the mini-splits instead of the furnace.. She has a nice wood stove too that helps quite a bit.
  16. Did a glider ride in Stowe a couple years ago, its not only claustrophobic I left my stomach somewhere in the hills. He started off slowly gliding then started swooping around. Overall fun but won't do it again.
  17. Looking forward to Rays winter outlook, I have a feeling he might say early winter moderating Jan into Feb.
  18. Definitely a nip in the air once the sun goes down. Fall's here, just need a good frost.
  19. Don't forgot tons of acorns, caterpillars and fat squirrels.
