  1. I think we had a Christmas Eve icing event but it could have been the 23th, I don't have Will's memory. Don't ever remember a Christmas day icing event though.
  2. I get it, you want it to snow early mid Dec and last until March but it doesn't happen often down here, 2011 didn't start until I think Jan 11th-12th and that was a great year. A good Feb into March has happened some years and those have been good too. You might have to move in with Phin or PF to get what you want.
  3. 2015 started later in January and I remember a lot of bridge jumpers leading up to that too, not saying it's going to happen again but plenty of time left to make hay.
  4. I had that earlier in the year and passed 12 on top of that, hope they're all gone.
  5. The anesthesia from my colonoscopy hasn't quite worn off yet so I'm a little slow tonight.
  6. I can't ski anymore (injury) but still would like to a trip there in the winter just to witness the snow.
  7. That's what I thought too, the first time I tried them was in 2015 where the was probably close to 4 feet of snow, I sunk down quite a ways, not like in the movies.
  8. Me and my wife got a couple pairs there too and they've served us fine for the last 5-6 years, we don't go a lot so it's not heavy wear on them but they look like they're built well.
  9. I was thinking you guys were using metal poles, I'll have to give some thought on where to install mine. Im surrounded by a lot of trees,
  10. No, not last year but there's been some years where she's had a deep pack and we just have piles down here or maybe a few inches. I think she's in a good spot for the inverted trough, seems she's had a couple that got that area pretty good.
  11. I started as some light snow that melted right away, then sleet then it was just a cold rain.
  12. I'd consider your area NE Mass, I'm surprised they didn't get any in the central and western areas.
  13. My sister lives just south of Portland and always does much better snow wise that I do here., plus it's a 10 minute ride to the beach.
  14. We plan to in a couple years when my wife retires for the exact reasons you mentioned.
