It varies. Sometimes we have had school with 6+ plus but often times that would close em.   Heck, we had school Jan 16 but my wife and daughter’s districts closed.  They went skiing.  I was sad. Especially when we had to cancel ski club due to snow

Depends on timing if I remember from my school days, if it's coming down good at 7am and is going to continue they don't want buses on the road sliding all over the place. If it stops at 7, they used to have a 2 hour delay.

2nd snowiest month in Juneau AK.

When I was up there I talked to a couple guys that live there, even though they average 93 inches a year they usually don't build a big pack due to the rain and temps are usually upper 20s to lower 40s.

Yup, that's the one! This is where I live. Town of Bradford is marked by the dotted line and my house is within the circle. There's actually not any real good way to go direct to Keene from where I live - the fastest way is through Henniker.

My nephew lives in that area, he's always bragging about how they get so much more snow than we do.

18z HRRR and 3km NAM have decided to up the freezing rain threat. Check out the FRAM estimates and the total ZR QPF on the 3k NAM. Not sure I've ever seen green show up on one of those before.

My phone app is giving a freezing rain warning in that area.

Lol i don’t think it matters either way. Lost pack in any areas less than 4-5” AWT.

    Hopefully replenish Sunday/Monday.

Wasn't much of a pack but any pack is good. Felt and looked like winter.

We have definitely regressed down here to the point where an 8” event(not saying that’s what we see for HFD area) seems like a big dawg to me, especially some wet, synoptic snow. Long, long gone are the days of the seemingly regular 12-15” storms that were happening, what I felt like was once a week during that incredible stretch.

Some weeks there were two, seems we we're tracking storms for 4 weeks straight.

My hunting buddy has always claimed the sound of running water makes the Beavers crazyemoji23.png

A friend of mine owns 7 acres with about 5 acres of it swampy. Every now and then the beavers dam up the creek running into the swamp and the water level almost reaches his house. You just can't shoot a beaver in his town, so he had to get a special permit to shoot or trap the beavers before his house was under water.

Woke up to a frozen lake yesterday morning ...All so it can slowly melt away over the coming days.  (The underground lava river must have temporarily stopped flowing)

How thick is the ice? Looks thin.
