Did about 70 miles of snowmobiling today in bear notch in the Bartlett area. Lot of snow off the trails, probably a good 3-4 feet in some spots

Ill be up tomorrow doing the same thing, good to hear there's plenty of snow. Enjoy your weekend.

See I feel just the opposite.  Melt it quickly so my outdoor exercise is way easier.  I no longer have much use for pack (although I love the visual).

I love the snow but feel done with it soon after it ends.

I hate to say it but I'm starting to feel like that in my older age, my job is so much easier without a pack, I guess when I retire, I'll be rotting for huge packs again.

Holden is a great spot. Retention there is night and day compared to even lower areas of Worcester. It’s why I often say ORH can be sliced in half in the city. The NW side from Indian Hill to Winter Hill on the Holden line over to Salisbury area over to Tatnuck square and ORH airport are way different than downtown to Webster square. You can go even weeks at times where there will be deep pack in that area while Webster square has patches of bare ground.

Down by route 20 isn't that great an area either. What's that area called, Edgemere?

You found a weather weenie husband?!  Mine just looks at me and rolls his eyes.  That is probably true for most in relationships on here.

Although I think Will is married to a meteorologist.

What's worse is my wife never buys what I'm selling even though I've been proven right numerous times. Her go to for weather is Matt Noyes

When there is a pack, the period between storms is fantastic. You’re not distracted by tracking and worrying and you just enjoy. What is outside. Get out there and enjoy what you have. If what people are mostly doing is spending their time online looking for the next Shot of adrenaline with each model run and then this is an excruciating.
For any of you, who can I recommend just taking a quick two day trip somewhere up north where there’s snow

Heading up to your area Friday for a few days, looks like decent winter weather while I'm up there.

They’ve had some very mild and not much snow winters while we got crushed. It’s rare that both regions share deep winter . When you see that kind of cold up there, you don’t plan on too much deep winter in the East

Our Winter of Spring in 2012 they got hammered up there.

Don't change a thing! I know some members here did not get snow, some got bonus surprises , I will take my 4.25" of snow and run with it,  I thought I was going to be at 30" after this event, but looked at my chart I keep and I am at 26.5" going into Feb. who knows I could be off an inch here or there, etc. For snow enthusiasts its always great when you and others sniff out potential, yes, no guarantee , but the chase sometimes is just as fun (sometimes haha) hopefully on to the next signal!

Hopefully we can double our seasons totals in one big storm, PDIII has a nice ring.

The town ranges from like 200’ on the Willington line by the river there to 400’ on 195 as you head towards Uconn to 650’ thru center of town and then you’ve got 700-1100 in areas NE and especially north and NW side . I can see there being 3-4 inch discrepancies across the town . It’s an impossible forecast . Over the years I’ve found that generally 700 feet you notice a difference and at 800 feet is when it really starts to kick in . The icestorm was a great example of that last February

Your town has a place that's 1100 elev and you didn't build a house there?
