We could really use some of these north trends Scott and others were expecting.
Scott had reservations while we were all high fiving,.

We did back in Feb 87 and Feb 89, I remember those Heartbreakers like it was yesterday. One big difference was we had man cold in place
We went from a 15-20 inch blizzard to nada, cape got hammered, Shelby Scott was on location, you're right, I think it did happen twice. I remember Channel 5 cut into the football game with Dick Albert, Natalie asked if there was a chance it could still miss, Dickie said, NO. It did.

Is rgem next? If whatever comes out next reverts to a hit, I’ll be on board. I guess right now we have the nam(s) and icon.
You're optimistic, that's making me nervous.

The HRRR doesn't look terrible at all, just judging by SLP track. Happy to see so weird lows or dual lows. The low is more elongated which may help with a more expansive banding/QPF field? A tighter circulation would introduce potential for more in the way of banded precip? This is where my overall lack of knowledge on winter storm climo bites me in the fanny...I knows its been discussed before about differences between a more elongated low vs. tighter circulation.
Ill take this

on way back to mass......on my phone so all I can hear is things are south, precip south, south coast and CT getting slammed......sounds like a SOP.
Hoping that's not what it is. For my sake that is.

Escapes east a bit before it can really destroy us….
Too bad the phase wasn't a little earlier or a short stall, we could really go to town for a few more hours.

I'm just hoping we're still in the game here north of 84 in Connecticut.
We are, I'd say at least 8-10, if things break our way 12+.

Double digits on the Pit2 doorstep.
I just told my wife she'll have a snow day on Tuesday. Probably the kiss of death.
I think Pit 1 will do quite well too.

Just a small grip but I think 6-12” if a ridiculous range. 6” Of snow is a lot different than 12”
But you would make a map just like that?

I saw on the news today's high either tied or broke a record for this exact date one year ago, not surprised, last Feb was warm, at least we have a storm in a few days this year.

Has anyone seen the sun yet today? I thought we were heading for high 40's at some point.
The sun shone for a few minutes this morning before the front came through, clouded everything up and here we sit - overcast and 36.
Sunny all day down here, hit 48 for a high, my car felt like a greenhouse, didn't need the heat on at all, must have hit Tippys sun angle day.
