Speaking for Union County in New Jersey, I feel the National Weather Service did a great job. I often malign them. Of course when I occasionally stick my neck out, I usually get it chopped off.

The areas that have the best upper level atmospheric dynamics conducive for snow (BANDING), will see the most snow. There, I said it first.

I personally cancelled winter as "over" sometime in mid February, even though I felt it was over at the end of January. Yes, March looks like it will be close to average, temperature-wise, but with this coming weekend' storm looking like another wet one, I have no faith in the "2nd" low threat.

Talk about "threading the needle" The bullseye is central NJ like you said, but the width of the storm is extremely narrow. 1/8 of a degree (angle) will create a big-a-miss?

Amazingly we got snow out of this "cutter".

Sounds about right. Maybe eeked out 2 inches in Garwood NJ, and looks like a little less in Linden, NJ. Pleasantly surprised.

Please no banding comments. Every storm, someone says it will come down to banding.
