  1. We got hit pretty good yesterday. Radar would be showing nothing and just like that storms would pop up. First storm was around super time. We got 0.70" in about 10 mins. Storm # 2 about 2 hours later and got 1.43" of rain. storm #3 overnight we got 0.42" of rain. Is today going to be a repeat?
  2. Water spout captured on camera...Basin St. Wmpst.
  3. Looks like State College is going to get hit hard with storms. 93 today for a high.
  4. 3 different storms yesterday afternoon for a total of 2.53" of rain 1st storm 0.43" 2nd storm 1.65" 3rd 0.45"
  5. @NWSStateCollege 57m All eyes on a HOT weekend in Pennsylvania. Heat indices topping out in the 90s and 100s Friday and Saturday as the remnants of Barry usher in tropical heat and humidity. Step outside when you can today, because it will be another 7 days before the humidity drops off again. #PAwx pic.twitter.com/aDJWR1T0fY

  7. NWS State College @NWSStateCollege 4h Flash Flood Watch 2PM Thursday to 1AM Friday for the Lower Susquehanna Valley. Torrential downpours may produce isolated significant flash floods. #PAwx #TADD pic.twitter.com/6VLAjP7rmV
  8. Going over a low head dam would be my worst night mare. Used to be involved with water rescue up here. You really have to respect the water. Did they retrieve their boat? If so how bad did that get beat up. Thanks for the update guys.
  9. I guess some of us are going to need to get the boats out. For those in the know what happened to the water rescue boat going over the dam during a rescue in Harrisburg?
  10. Rain just keeps coming down. The other day flooding, few water rescues and roads washed out. Overnight 0.63" which was somewhat unexpected. Nut Dont go poking the hornets nest
  11. Yuck NWS State College @NWSStateCollege 2h Scattered thunderstorms with heavy downpours may produce isolated flooding Friday afternoon-evening. Despite some recent dryness, slow storm motions, cell mergers & copious deep-layer moisture support potential for torrential downpours & localized flooding. #PAwx pic.twitter.com/iWlfkf2uOd
  12. Picked up 1.40" this afternoon in about 1/2 hour storm.
  13. Few pictures from local newpaper. 1.18" this morning...from yesterday. Not much rain in the later storm.
  14. I thought heard that State College had some hail. @NWSStateCollege Replying to @JohnBanghoff Had a gust 43MPH at the office and then 10 mins later small (pea sz hail). 29 Jun 2019 Myself I had over inch of rain with the first storm. Along with some pretty strong winds Tomorrow morning I will check my gauge for a total.
  15. Speaking of winter snowfall here are the official totals. https://www.weather.gov/ctp/snowNormals#seasons
  16. @NWSStateCollege 2h Much of CPA has been wet over the last 7-days with precipitation 150-300% of normal. Above normal streamflow & saturated ground combined with additional rounds of heavy rain will maintain a heightened flash flood risk through late tonight. #PAwx pic.twitter.com/vsBGSuoktj
  17. NWS State College @NWSStateCollege 29m High pressure provides sunshine but it will be a cool day for June. Frost is possible tonight in the northern mountains of #PAwx pic.twitter.com/RxVUGnutxQ
  18. Well we are in a flash flood watch today. Some storms could be damaging with large hail and strong winds. Day 3 repeat... NWS State College @NWSStateCollege 51m Another active day is in store as the slow moving frontal system that has acted to focus severe storms brings a repeat performance for this afternoon. With humid air pooling over the region, there will be the additional threat of locally heavy flooding rains. #ctpwx #pawx pic.twitter.com/tdrjniCmfI
  19. NWS State College @NWSStateCollege 9m Tornado Warning including Harrisburg PA, Hershey PA, Colonial Park PA until 4:45 PM EDT pic.twitter.com/okZGsY2yPF

  22. Hail all around us last night, we was fortunate no hail here. It ended up being about 2 miles north of us. Picked up only 0.30" rain overnight...which wasn't bad. Earlier yesterday we picked up .55" with the one storm that came through. It didn't look to bad on radar but the skies opened up for about 10-15 minutes. Everyone be safe!!
  23. Some decent thunder and lighting last night picked 0.50" of rain.
