  1. I'm thinking 2-4" with 0.10" ice. I think that was a good call Bubbler !! Mag that's some nice snow pack.
  2. Last night We was loosing the cold at 39 hours. Nut I agree it looks like State College is in a pretty good spot.
  3. Good morning AllWeather Good seeing you in here, thanks for your thoughts on the storm! You sure have had a tough winter,
  4. At Hour 39 700 temps don't look bad...but as you mentioned before, 700 is pretty warm by hour 45 -48
  5. All these models have been struggling with this pattern we have had this winter. Including the forecasters. Somebody should see a good front end bump of snow, it's all going to come down to how long the cold sticks around.
  6. NWS icing map. Curious to see how much snow you get with that front end bump. Expected snowfall south of the border. Looks like a decent hit.
  7. When a model depicts an hour of sleet as snowfall it is doing so at 10:1 frozen to liquid ratio when sleet is ideally around a 3:1 ratio. Therefore the model starts to bomb unrealistic snowfall rates of 4" or greater over those final hours when you're not going to be snowing at all. That is why they suddenly leap up dramatically into unreasonable territory.
  8. Mag and everyone thanks for your thoughts. Mag it looks like there is a chance you could be in a sweet spot. We will have to see how the runs go. A coating here overnite but not covering the roadways, just the grass and cars.
  9. The bulk of Wed/Thur storm appears to be southern tier. With Pitt getting the shaft. According to the Nam.
  10. Tomorrow Evenings storm looks like it is a little more robust.
  11. I think March 1-15 is suppose to be below the seasonal temps. South East push for next Thursday isn't a good thing.
  12. GFS looks to be reasonable Wednesday. The Euro has been all over. edit: We have had a lot of 5-6 day forecasts bust this year.
  13. I'm thinking this storm is going to be similar to the storm on the 12-13. or maybe something in between. Started out as the map on the top and ended up being the one on the bottom. Still the Pacific stream is dictating our pattern. Sooner later we have to get a decent storm.
  14. Definitely a little warmup going on today. "pic yesterday's temp" Fridays storm north of the border today.
  15. All going to depend on how fast Fridays system leaves. Slower more South....Faster further North for Saturdays system. Saturdays system is going to be a fast mover.
  16. Till the pattern changes Were going to be lacking a four letter word for most of these events. COLD. I like snow but I have had a lot of ice this year. Just got done cleaning 500' of 2" of ice. Maybe we will get some normal weather according to NWS "Pic"
  17. Mag they was showing your area could get 1-3" 1.5" of snow here with .5" of sleet and freezing rain for my total.
  18. 1.5" and appears to be some freezing stuff. NWS really dropped totals.
  19. I guess I was expecting more of a line (snow/mix) than a circle on that map I posted. Just seemed weird....Good Luck to everyone!!
  20. Someone care to explain their thinking here...Just a weird map.
  21. I had a low of 20 degrees overnight, about 8 degrees colder than what they was predicting. Just a dusting on the truck and a coating on my lane. Looks like CPT tighten up the 6" area. Hopefully with the CAD this storm turns out to be a good storm for most of us.
