just hoping for a couple inches at best out this way. hope that trend translates a bit east. Never much luck when fighting these type pf scenarios.

Yup. Thinking the same in these parts.Tough call here as we'll be pretty close to the northern edge. Looks like a 1-2" type event. Enough to make it look wintry again.

This place is well past it’s prime. A lot of the heavy hitters have left, outside of a rare drop in.now i'm a little miffed. i thought i was a heavy hitter.

still thinking a solid 2-4 looks good. Finally going to look like winter.
...and the best part is it's actually January....not fcking March or April!!!! What a concept!
it ain't down yet. And after you took a shot at my boy Alek in the other thread you may reap his vengeance..."bank clock reads 33"

Given a lousy season thus far, expectations for a bust are at fresh highs.
your in line for a bout an inch. If you bust it won't be any great shakes, or it'll bust on the upside.

The GFS and GGEM are fairytales. The UKMET is reality. Matter of fact, the GGEM and GFS have been so bad this winter, they should think about shutting them down to save money.

Perfect weather to remove the outside Christmas decorations. Winter will return soon enough.

Trends are looking up ....always like seeing a flip right around the holidays after a warm period. Bodes well...I believe 1994 was one of the better ones.

Until we can get a pattern flip with some entrenched cold air most of these hope and pray slush events are non starters.

NOAA. They must be basing that on Dec.1- Dec. 3. There's a 50/50 likelihood that won't be correct and a 50/50 chance it will.

Your simply living in the wrong climate for the type of weather your looking for. Try Marquette, Michigan.

Mid - winter mode, and it's not even December. Another covering overnight. Freezing Rain chance, than heavy rain back to light snow early next week. Just seems if there's a chance of snow it finds away...I smell a busy winter for snow lovers in northern Illinois.

Congrats...and its November 25. Wow.Right at 11" on avg here. Back edge of the snow is slowly making it's way towards us, so perhaps another 2hrs to go.

You should always be concerned about a dry slot. Worse, a dry slot in this scenario makes no sense, and in that area is odd.Anyone concerned about a dry slot in NC IL?

Maybe 4-5inches of slushy accumulation on grassy surfaces. Given the post storm temps, wind that event will not be comparable here. What did you get in 2015?

If all goes as planned this will be the greatest November snowfall in my lifetime. The 1975 storm at Thanksgiving melted in a day. Remember it vividly and I was in 8th grade. The weather addiction stuff starts early...odd affliction.

Snow in Glen Ellyn. 20 miles west of Chicago loop along I-88. Large wet flakes.

actually quite the bump in these parts along the I-88 corridor. Lot added us to the Advisory and bumped are totals from 1-2 to 3-5 inches. Fairly substantial change. Dry air still a concern.
