  1. Low of 57 here thus far today....average low is around 30.
  2. Peepers made their first appearance here last week so yes, it’s happening.
  3. Yeah, I was thinking this morning after getting shut out, not that there would’ve been much, that if I were to grade this winter it would be a C, tops. Feb was great but bookended by a lot of meh. As mentioned by others, December was decent until 12/24. Agreed on the drought stuff, hard to acknowledge the below normal precipitation this time of year but we’ll see what happens once everything greens ups and leafs out...1.06” yesterday in the Status.
  4. Good morning! I like photos like that, I did this one a few years ago now
  5. Last patch of unpiled snow trying to hold on
  6. Up to 72 with high clouds off to my west now, will see soon if that’s the high for the day.
  7. One of the worse sunburns I ever had was from skiing on St Paddy’s Day in 1994. Thankfully it was limited to my face, neck, and a small dome shape on the back of my bald head from the opening on my adjustable cap. Been carrying sunscreen in the car ever since, never leave home without it! But I’m home today anyway, enjoying what Mother Nature is throwing at me right now.
  8. 62, first outside shorts day of the year for me.
  9. And how do you feel now? The same? Temp climbing here, up to 58 now and the satellite looks clear to the west.
  10. Throw the Hudson Valley Weather Facebook in the mix too for this neck of the woods.
  11. Still snow in shady spots and north facing slopes but zero at the stake this morning.
  12. 5” at my main stake which is on the north side of the house, 2” at another stake near a shady spot on the south side, lots of open ground in between. It’s a tired worn out “snow cover” at this point but what’s left is glacial. Had some flurries this morning but nothing measurable.
  13. And I thought you didn’t keep records...
  14. Interesting. A small part of my work is involved in helping/supervising the programming of Federal Highway funds for bridges/roads eligible for Federal funding.
  15. 6.5” at the stake but about 1/3 of the yard is exposed now and much of the snow is now littered with pine twigs which will help the sun work on the pack.
  16. Once some ground is exposed it goes quick around that spot expanding exponentially
  17. Mine had switched too when I measured, may have lost a couple tenths, oh well. I saw in Walts post there was a 1.1” just to my NE.
  18. Still 8” at the stake but look how the bare spot under the trees grew since this morning
