  1. Pretty big whiff on snow forecasts for east of I-25 by the NWS. My 4-6" forecast got me about an inch.
  2. I got 0.17" of liquid precip, which generally matches the 1.5" or so of snow in the spots that it actually accumulated on.
  3. It's been snowing all morning here. But rates just aren't enough to overcome marginal temps, so the NWS nailed this one pretty good.
  4. It got down to 4 degrees this morning, which interestingly isn't even the coldest Oct 30 in recent memory. Oct 30, 2019, it got down to -1.
  5. I guess the NWS was right for my area. Got about 5-6" today and just got upgraded from advisory to warning for 3-6" more overnight.
  6. Been light snow the last few hours, still waiting for the good stuff to start.
  7. The official forecast is a lot more bullish for my back yard than any model I've seen. The advisory I'm under doesn't even match that map.
  8. Solar radiation data from my weather station. Pretty obvious where the eclipse is, with some clouds here and there messing with the pretty curve.
  9. Short term models have me getting at least some snow shower overnight. Hopefully there's evidence if it when I wake up
  10. Some of us outside the mountains may see our first snow of the year late week.
  11. That was a nice little storm. Even got a little hail. Now we can look ahead to first flurries of the year later this week.
  12. I ended up with 0.85". Just south got probably double that, most of it from one cell.
  13. I volunteered to chaperone my son's multi-day outdoor education program the beginning of next week. Rain and mud and 6th graders. Fun times!
  14. Probably more than you'd think. But airlines don't cancel flights in situations like this only for safety. It's also to prevent planes from getting stuck there and messing up the rest of their network.
  15. Airlines are going to be proactively cancelling flights anyway.
