Another good day for my general area, but man my house is rain repellant. Flash floods to my west, heavy rain to my north and east, and heavy rain to my southwest headed my way, but drying up 2 miles down the road.

Some loudly barking storms came through, but didn't drop much rain. Only 0.2" Overall a much better day for the region and my local area, helping the water tables some.

Flash flooding not too far south of me. Still not a drop yet for me, but models still say it's coming later.

I only follow a few rather grounded mets on social media. But that's just it, the pattern has it and the mountains are doing well, just not much getting over the hills.

Well, Monday was yet another over hyped monsoon bust.

I got above 97 for a bit this afternoon. Highest I've recorded on my PWS. I just hope the monsoon hype verifies this week.

I got under one of those heavy popup cells finally. 0.4" in about 10 minutes.

A huge plume of rain literally 2-3 miles to my west for the last hour, yet it refuses to come east.

Definitely not the monsoon that was hyped coming into the week. Hopefully next week is better

Only .25" yesterday. Models don't seem too excited about today either.

Nothing to cope about. Just a lot of these cities have records going back at least 100 years, some into the 1800s. Just funny to see one that's only 1948. You can go back to being a Chicago lurker after your snipe attempt.

Kind of funny that an "all time" record doesn't even span 80 years.

Doesn't sound like nearly as hot as they were hyping a few days ago though.
