  1. XCel energy is proactively shutting off power to a lot of homes on the front range until tomorrow. Seems a bit drastic, but then again they'll get blamed for wildfires if they didn't do it.
  2. Interesting that BOU AFD mentioned the potential of a Colorado Low next week.
  3. They have to get crews and equipment on scene first. Then figure out how to free the ship without screwing other things up. Then clear the channel. Things will get going faster, for sure.
  4. Lots of hail reports west of I-25. Temps already dropping so I'm think my area goes right to snow.
  5. Posting from Florida, but looks like 8-10" so far with apparently that much more coming. Though I never have faith in back end forecasts
  6. I've got a back up plan scoped out, but I need the forecast to be solidified some since models are still waffling.
  7. For March being the snowy month for NE Colorado winters, the models see basically nothing in the pipeline.
  8. I'm not sure that upgrade to a warning was necessary. Radar already thinning out.
  9. Snow winding down here. Looks like 7" or so. Not bad at all for such a short storm.
  10. HRRR doesn't have that band getting back east enough to get to me. Looks like it's going to hunker down over I-25 and just west.
  11. About 4" so far. Back end of the storm already well in sight though. Doesn't seem like any more than 2" left
  12. We just dropped down to freezing as the bulk of the moisture started to come through, so should be all snow from here on out.
  13. Kind of crazy seeing the models this far apart this close to the storm's onset.
  14. And in true GFS fashion in close range, 12z says "what snow?" GEFS still has a solid mean though
  15. GFS, NAM and HRRR are all similar in their most recent runs. We'll see if the Euro comes in line.
