  1. After 15 years living in the DMV, now 5 years living in the high plains desert in Colorado, I am not looking forward to all that humidity when I fly in tomorrow.
  2. Only if you promise to donate your strength to the season's ACE score.
  3. Hasn't this been in the works for 10 or so years when Congress pulled funding?
  4. 0.7" from this morning (though that's probably inflated by the hail), but just some drips since then. Both rounds of afternoon storms missed me.
  5. Some juicy stuff in afternoon round 1, but it missed me by a couple miles. We'll see if round 2 gives me anything. But after this morning I'm fine if I don't
  6. Not often I wake up to early morning hail storms in Colorado. Had a few at 1.5" or so, maybe bigger since it was a little bit before I could get outside to measure them.
  7. I'll be curious how those fare vs. traditional tropical models.
  8. A wicked hail storm about to go through Pueblo. Reported hail of nearly 3"
  9. Two days in a row with severe thunderstorm trains that missed me by a couple miles.
  10. Happened again today. Nice storm, drifting northwest. I'm about 10 miles as the crow flies from Kiowa. By the time the storm got to me, it was sprinkles.
  11. And another one 5 miles north of me that I didn't even realize happened until yesterday. There was some buzz about lack of a warning for it since it started as a landspout and by the time NWS got any radar or human eyes on it, it was too late.
  12. I ended up getting in some nice bands and logged 1.2" A flurry or two mixed in once in a while but the cooler air never arrived.
  13. The trailing edge of the precip is about to come through my area. HRRR says it rains the rest of the day, but radar isn't backfilling further east so maybe we get a lull for a while
  14. Not this big rain maker is about to turn into a big bust. NWS didn't have a good winter season and now off to a poor spring season.
  15. GFS wants to dump about 5 feet of snow on Pike's Peak this week. NAM has a bunch of snow east of 25. Even the Euro has snow.
  16. Next week could be a nice soaker. Which means I need to mow this weekend to cut the tall stuff but somehow avoid the stuff that's still brown.
  17. Pretty nice hail storm today, mostly pea sized, a few in the half inch range. Radar indicated tornado right down the road, but I don't think anything came of it from what my mostly untrained eyes saw
  18. 75" for the season, but if it wasn't for that November storm, it'd be a well below average year.
  19. Got maybe 1" out of the 4-8" forecast. OK onto spring for real now
  20. 0z models are drastically cutting totals. Looks like yet another NWS bust.
  21. Hopefully this last winter blast over performs after the last one whimpered away.
