Seems it's still 7-10 days away for anything decent-next 2 storms are raging cutters.
-
Makes sense-most of the extended maps have low skill I'm talking day 7+
-
Before my time but what happend that year?
-
Basically 5 years of crap now with regard to the pattern...outside of Feb 2021 it's been mostly trash with the promise something better which fails to materialize 90% of the time.
-
from a sensible weather point of view 01-02 was dry and we could use some drying out-completely waterlogged here. But Day 13-16 is mostly fantasy range....
-
Yep-the big pattern has yet to materialize and it's getting to the point where it may not happen and we're just mainly warm and wet like December....
-
it does for sure but the insults and personal attacks should be be happening. (edit-it's not sure here it's other places too which unfortunately happens when we we get patterns like this )
-
yeah the last 2 pages are a complete trainwreck....
-
No cold outside of a day or two here. Been a nightmare so far but at least we got a plowable snow yesterday...
-
The Jan thread there is trainwreck this morning-lot of insults and personal attacks which is what you get in a bad pattern
-
There's a NW/interior thread
-
Wait. There will be dozens of unsold machines at this rate and marked down come 3/1 or even 2/15
-
3 inches final here-about 2 inches of slop left, 33 and white rain now
-
Two Mdt to high impact events NYC subforum; wknd Jan 6-7 Incl OBS, and mid week Jan 9-10 (incl OBS). Total water equiv by 00z/11 general 2", possibly 6" includes snow-ice mainly interior. RVR flood potential increases Jan 10 and beyond. Damaging wind.

Yeah no cross polar flow. Even the -36 stuff would moderate bigly as it comes down over snowless ground and warm great lakes... -

One benefit of the crappy pattern for us-the long term drought in the west has been eased somewhat by the trough out there and storms coming into the west coast-during the ridge years it was bone dry out there year after year
