  1. Yep it was close. If that was a September storm (with warmer waters) vs early August, it might have happened...
  2. I agree-similar to the 6/24-6/28 event where it's mostly west of us
  3. Close to 6 inches here from the 5-6 storms from 5pm 7/3 to 5pm 7/4. Crazy flash flooding around town...

  13. The problem is most of the public doesn't understand probability forecasts-they see a bolt of lightning on the newscast and assume the day is shot...in reality, 90% of the day is rain free and decent.

  19. the one difference is that we will have a humid airmass in place-today failed b/c the airmass was bone dry and NE winds continued to drive cool/dry air in....precip never had a chance
  20. What a bust. Sun is breaking through here and we're up to 69
  21. Didn't even get that here. Sun is now breaking through-reminds me of the snowfall busts of the 1980's...... Forecast from upton still shows 70% chance of showers today
  22. RGEM looks more realistic based on radar
  23. The RGEM looks more realistic for today with the rains well well east. NAMS are too far west based on current radar
  24. Both NAM's now have little rain through Sunday morning for most of the subforum except far N and W and well east
