  2. It's grass. It comes back in the fall most of the time. People waste too much time and money on it IMO
  3. other than years like 2009 it's tough to keep a lawn green through our summers. And he's right it's a british thing where temps are cooler and it's wetter
  4. Wild storm here with heavy rains and vivid lightning. Dropped a good 1.5 inches of rain-sun popping out now

  10. The arctic has actually had a fairly cool summer. Agree on water temps though-they have kept us warm last few years...

  12. Yep I do the same...not sure what model it is or how they are made but they are basically no better than throwing a dart at a board.
  13. depends-I've seen people cancel their plans when there was a chance of PM storms then complained when they didn't materialize...those phone forecasts are the worst thing to happen to weather forecasting...people see a raindrop and think the whole day is gone...
  14. only saving grace here was a big 3-4 inch rainfall 7/3-4 otherwise it's been bone dry
  15. Epic bust here models had 3-4 inches...we got about .30 Can't make it up.... RGEM pulled the plug on the 18z run but others still had the big totals

  17. Yep it was close. If that was a September storm (with warmer waters) vs early August, it might have happened...
  18. I agree-similar to the 6/24-6/28 event where it's mostly west of us
  19. Close to 6 inches here from the 5-6 storms from 5pm 7/3 to 5pm 7/4. Crazy flash flooding around town...
