Not sure about that-we may turn colder as we head towards March with the MJO going into the colder phases and the possible effects of the SSWE
-
March 2018 alot of us cashed in...but you're right snow was tough to accumulate during daytime hrs and urban areas really struggled but that was a heck of a 4-5 weeks.
-
feeling the effects of the SSWE perhaps
-
Yep, 01-02, 05-06, 11-12 were supposed to be ok-bust

Who cancels winter on 2/9?
-
Icy here this morning. Public works caught off guard-no salt and schools on time...
-
I flew into LGA last night. Needless to say it was frightening-we had to abort one landing and the 2nd was an armrest gripper. Scary.

Isle of cold in a sea of warmth

Up until a few years ago he denied that we were actually warming which was incredible. Now it's that we are are warming but other things (like volcanoes) are to blame. LOL
-
havent seen any of that in the sound...yet at least
-
yeah the sound by me routinely reaches the upper 70's now and we've hit 80 a couple of times...
-
snowy compared to here. We are at an inch

They never recovered from the big die off in the late 90's which was never solved (some though it was from malathion they sprayed for west nile)
-
Winter was effectively over that year after that cold shot. Was crazy here from 0 degrees to raining in 24 hrs....
-
Looks like a small window of opportunity later next week-hopefully we can get something. Otherwise the futility record might make a run at March and challenge 97-98
-
he's been wrong all winter. that arctic shot into Texas is transient too-in and out and then back to the same ol pattern....
-
There were doing the same here Monday night after the rain had ended and roads were mostly dry-ridiculous
-
And we're now warm into next week. Brief transient cold spell end of week
-
ours melted in about 20 minutes after it stopped...what a winter it's like living in coastal NC
-
next batch is light rain here...the coating we had quickly melted in the dry slot-ground is warm. A one hour winter!
-
NAMS showed that earlier-heaviest rains later over SE CT RI and SE MA
-
Snow ended here as the dry slot came in.

Early D for wet roads...LOL only in CT
