  1. remember the forecasts for 25-30 storms and "hurricane season from hell" We are at 4 storms going into Sept lol
  2. JB going warm and not much snow for the east this year-says MJO 4-5-6 will dominate again
  3. Latest NAMS have very little unless you're well north of the city
  4. The good ol days. Now it's 50 instead of 40
  5. Yeah I have a mini in my home office which is over the garage and not connected to the main central air for the house. It's a good solution and better than noisy/ugly window units...
  6. I'm enjoying the break from running the AC and paying these crazy rates to UI....
  7. Been bone dry here since a week ago Monday...good thing for the cleanup in the hard hit flood areas
  8. The NAM sure flip flops like a fish out of water-embarrassing for a 24 hr forecast...
  9. what am I missing? Looks like almost nothing. RGEM also dry
  10. Radar over the northeast is completely devoid of echos except through central PA
  11. my sons have block schedules now...it's brutal-4 long periods a day classes only meet every other day now
  12. Wow never heard of that. Not sure what the benefit is? There's a PD day here once a month but that's it.
  13. Business as usual here. Usually takes a few days of heat for them to call an early D... Still have about 1/2 of the schools in town without AC...ridiculous for 2024
  14. yeah models literally have nothing until you are well S and W of NYC
  15. The forecasts with a large # of total storms look to be in serious trouble. Wonder if the weaker than expected Nina also playing role in less storm formation.
  16. water's cold after a week of chilly weather and cold nights
  17. Not much will make it down this way and if it does it's a brief shower. Activity will decline once past the heating of the day
  18. We have one here-it's great for those nights you just need to pull in some cool air vs turning on the central air. Downside is that I'm sure alot of heat escapes through it in the winter as it's metal and certainly has some leaks on the edges. We have a blanket we put over it in the attic to help with that.
