  1. Wolf you love snow and cold more than anyone on these forums. You have to move to Buffalo, we have the best food in the world. So many good restaurants here. You will be greatly missed, and appreciate everything you've done for this forum. I'll have to come to jersey shore sometime. I'm kind of sad. You never got hit with a massive LES event while living over there. What was your biggest event? This could be the year! =(
  2. 29k new cases in Brazil, 1337 deaths so far. They exceed the USA in both by a fair number. They didn't start testing until early April.
  3. And you know their testing was way underdone. I would guess deaths/cases are at least double what is reported.
  4. Snow in July coming next. Or better yet a Hurricane that maintains its intensity until over New York State.
  5. 1.5" hail! That is insane for this area. Definitely the largest I've ever seen.
  6. Yeah some strong storms were there but along PA line.
  7. The Michigan protests were not quite as big or large scale as these protests have been for the last week or so. The next 2-3 weeks will certainly show how quickly it transmits outside. As evidence by what's going on around the world minus Brazil, I think we are seeing a mutation to a less deadly/weaker form of the virus. Have you seen the protests in Europe? They have tens of thousands of people walking in the street right next to each other. If we don't see a huge spike in cases we absolutely should open everything up including fans at games. https://time.com/5846981/paris-protests-george-floyd-global/
  8. So its pretty funny. Not sure if I told anyone this or not. But my next door neighbor is a photographer and storm chaser. She chases tornadoes all over the midwest. It was destiny to move next door to someone that loves the weather as much as I do. We talk about it all the time. A few pictures from her from tonights storm. Golf ball size hail moved through earlier.

  10. I think I get almost as excited for thunderstorms as lake effect bands. Don't tell tughill that though.
  11. The cloud tops topped 50k feet. Unreal for storms like that around here.
  12. It weakened just a bit as it hit here. Grand island/western portion of Buffalo/along waterfront/tifft park got the hardest hit.
  13. best storm ever. I just got like 30 minutes of lightning/shelf cloud/hail video.
  14. Looks to be some big hail. Really rare to see storms like this come from the NW. ...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM EDT... For the following areas... Lake Ontario from and including the Lower Niagara River to Thirty Mile Point... At 1012 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 nm north of Fort Niagara, moving southeast at 45 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and large hail.
  15. Just beautiful lightning off my back porch right now.
  16. Buffalo finished: -0.9 for temps in May. -2.5 for April I'm surprised these anomalies weren't greater.
  17. I don't see that? These temps are above average for early June. Thursday Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Sunday Sunny, with a high near 71. Monday Sunny, with a high near 75.
  18. Area in slight risk with 2% tornado chances, 15% hail
  19. Looks like covid is mutating weaker in some strains across the world. https://www.yahoo.com/news/coronavirus-losing-potency-top-italian-184358113.html
  20. The main reason I don't want it too cold in winter is the lake freezes up quicker. I want to maximize lake eries potential.
