I 100% agree, they don't. More kids die from the flu in any given year than Covid. They can carry the virus and infect those more susceptible to it. However, once that age group is fully vaccinated it won't matter.

The odds of being struck by lightning are 1 in 500,000. You're 12 times more likely to be struck by lightning then to get a blood clot from j&j vaccine. https://www.cdc.gov/disasters/lightning/victimdata.html#:~:text=Lightning is one of the, only around 1 in 500%2C000.

I don't disagree. I was similar to you in not wanting to get the vaccine at all. But changed my mind after doing lots of research on the Pfizer one. My mom has advanced stage 4 cancer as well and I take her to treatments every week with a hospital full of cancer patients. I feel quite safe with the one I got. I think mRNA vaccines are the future, the possibilities with the new technology is amazing. The old style vaccines like J&J and Astra are the ones having the side effects it seems. However, minuscule they are.

Ya'll crazy its April 13th, where the ? -
How would that ever happen with an mRNA vaccine? Is that even possible? The half life of the spike protein is so short, any potential side effects would be manifested quite quickly. (weeks, at most a few months) "For purposes of mRNA-based therapies, modifications have been developed to keep the molecule in cells long enough to allow for the therapy to be successful. But even with this, the mRNA will not lead to protein production for more than 10-14 days."

The entire world should stick to the mRNA vaccines. It seems injecting even a small dead portion of the Covid-19 virus can mess you up. But still 1 out of 7 million people is extremely rare. The odds are probably the same for ibuprofen or Tylenol. Stage 3 trials used 50,000 people, so the sample size has increased and that is probably why they weren't able to find a 1 in 2 million side effect.

Lots of things are not FDA approved. I'm drinking my Bang energy drink this morning which is not and then preworkout isn't either. Preworkout messed me up back in January, I'll never take again.

You'd love the last kingdom, I actually prefer it to Vikings.

If you liked GOT. Vikings and The Last Kingdom were incredible shows. Highly recommend.

Buffalo is at +9.1 for April temps.

Not exactly

Whose to say they didn't' get Covid very closely after getting vaccinated in which case the vaccine would not be effective yet? You're not fully vaccinated until 2 weeks after the 2nd shot.
-
I said vaccinated not fully vaccinated. 1 dose offers 80% protection.

I guess that term can be subjective. The J & J vaccine is the worst of the 3 used in terms of efficacy in the US. However, its 100% effective against hospitalization and death. In my opinion, that is what really matters. "provided 100 percent efficacy against hospitalizations and deaths" https://www.ucsf.edu/news/2021/03/420071/how-effective-johnson-johnson-covid-19-vaccine-heres-what-you-should-know

Incorrect. The vaccines protect 100% against severe illness. The vaccine was 100% effective against severe disease as defined by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) https://www.pfizer.com/news/press-release/press-release-detail/pfizer-and-biontech-confirm-high-efficacy-and-no-serious#:~:text=The vaccine was 100% effective, and Drug Administration (FDA).

65+ at 80% vaccine rate is the most important number to me as that segment was the hardest hit.
