  1. 234k new cases in India the last 24 hours, over 3k deaths in Brazil. Those 2 countries are a mess right now. Going to be seeing some insane numbers in the next few weeks out of there.
  2. This is pretty crazy. The police can pull you over and ask what you're doing? Ontario gives police authority to stop people, vehicles, ask purpose of travel https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/ontario-gives-police-authority-to-stop-people-vehicles-ask-purpose-of-travel-1.5390805?cid=sm%3Atrueanthem%3Actvtoronto%3Apost&utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A Trending Content&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR0DOT6XMxz7oEw5C3fKB9r9W4bNJv85qiMwi79lfPEWroDBYrjxX9ViUbo
  3. I haven't been to the gym in a few weeks, have been running outside for cardio but that may have made it worse. Going to slowly transition back to gym and just lift for a few weeks and light cardio. Like you said I need to rebuild my lungs back up.
  4. I'll never pass on a big dog, but pass on a dusting-3".
  5. Yeah it seems WNY infection rate has been highest in state nearly all year. I feel like I've been sick the entirety of 2021. I'm so ready for all this to be over with, I feel a little better this morning. Still can't breath deeply without coughing, maybe bronchitis? Going back to normal too quickly, my body might still be recovering.
  6. Looks like accumulating snow in higher elevations south of here this morning
  7. @Luke_Mages What were your first symptoms recently with covid? My wife and I have extreme chills this evening, can't breath without coughing, and a slight fever. We just got over a 16 day fight with flu/sinusitis. I had my shot on Saturday, but immunity takes 10-14 days. It can't be the shot because my wife didn't get it. Hopefully we feel better tomorrow.
  8. This could be the reason for our recent increases
  9. Antibodies don't just disappear do they? A year from now those vaccinated will likely have partial immunity and still be able to avoid severe illness?
  10. Updated numbers The United States had administered 198,317,040 doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the country as of Thursday morning and distributed 255,400,665 doses, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Thursday. Should hit 200 million doses tomorrow and 50% with 1 dose this week. 125m age 16+ have first dose - ~47.2% (123.9m - ~46.5% yesterday) 124.7m adults have first doses - 48.3% (122.9m - 47.6% yesterday) 3,525,204 administered 78,498,290 fully vaccinated (23.6% total pop, 30.3% adults) 34,844,584 above 65 fully vaccinated (63.7%)
  11. CDC finds less than 1 percent of fully vaccinated people got COVID-19 https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/548440-cdc-5800-breakthrough-covid-19-cases-documented-among-millions-who-are?fbclid=IwAR21_N3d8TElv223lvgeTrCWX1ZMr2MHp3wbe6_mxYj_AtyXyIh7g5ni6_s 1 percent of the people who contracted breakthrough infections died. So, if you get the vaccine, that is a .00008% chance of dying from the virus if you get the vaccine. 12500 to 1 Vaccinate everyone in the country, the most number of deaths that would occur would be 26400 (assuming a population of 330 million and everyone receives still gets the virus, which is impossible but never mind) In others words, significantly less than die in a typical flu season.

  13. Exactly, we have no idea where we will be in the spring of 2022.
  14. We know natural immunity last around 10 months. The general duration is 8-12 months I believe. I expect the vaccines to be similar. I would hope in a year from now covid is an endemic and no longer controlling the world. https://www.prevention.com/health/a34864421/tom-hanks-rita-wilson-covid-19-antibodies/
  15. Yeah you're not fully vaccinated until 2 weeks after the second dose according to CDC
  16. I doubt that happens now, that forecast is based on current vaccination rates. Not to mention J&J being taken off the shelf will greatly reduce that percentage.
  17. 50% will have first dose by end of this week. 60-70% is vaccine threshold. I'd say about 3/10 are not getting it. With prior infections, that is herd immunity, unless variants cause this thing to last indefinitely....In which case things will never be normal again. Moderna applying for full FDA approval. https://abc7ny.com/covid-vaccine-veterans-connecticut-coronavirus/10513978/

  20. I really hope there isn't a booster shot every 6 months though. I think I'm going to be a one and done guy. That would especially be true if the vaccine made me sick for a few days. The first shot was just a sore arm for a day.
  21. There are exceptions to everything. But statistics dont lie. Vaccine protects me against severe covid and long term covid complications. If a statistician did a risk/benefit analysis for you specifically it would 100% be in favor of getting the vaccine. But I respect each persons choice. Just don't make it seem like you are some zeus and can't get really sick from covid, because that simply isn't true. I know you've had it, but other athletes are getting pretty sick from it. Hughes was on several IVs and lost 10 lbs, and he is an elite athlete with the best care in the world, one of the best skaters in the NHL. I mean I can deadlift 500 lbs and run 3 miles in 20-21 minutes and I got it.
  22. Tell that to Quinton Hughes on the Vancouver Canucks.
  23. New England about to get a paste bomb in higher elevations. 12"+ in some spots
