  1. It’s amazing because it felt cool compared to last week.
  2. Another beautiful spring day. Good dat to play some tennis.
  3. Your videos are great, nice for us low land mid Atlantic folk to get to live vicariously through you. You must be pushing like 4 feet by now. That band hasn’t moved in a while.
  4. 19 degrees in Takoma park and 51 in Bangor Maine. Not typical!
  5. Sure. I love snow too. But I also enjoy this. Pretty cool. To each his own.
  6. We definitely don’t get two fronts a year in the dc area that drop us from 45 degrees at 7am to 15 degrees or lower at 5pm.
  7. This is gonna be a serious situation on the roads I think. Everything is SOAKED.
  8. This will increase the chances of a flash freeze, heavy rain right up until the temp plummet.
  9. lol what was everyone expecting? No model gave us anything other than rain —> cold.
  10. This might be the time a flash freeze really happens. Everything is soaking wet.
  11. Rain before 10am, then a chance of snow between 10am and 1pm. Temperature falling to around 13 by 5pm. Wind chill values as low as -6. Breezy, with a west wind 16 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Don't often see a forecast like this for DC and the near in burbs. Tomorrow will be pretty interesting even without snow.
  12. Friday night probably gonna need a wind chill advisory even for the metros. Teens with 30mph gusting winds would put us below zero wind chills,
  13. 6z 3K Nam would be nice. A couple of hours of snow before the arctic blast. Would probably be enough for a white christmas. I'd certainly be happy about it.
  14. Absolutely been steadfast showing light accumulation for us. Hopefully we can get some other guidance on board.
  15. I see no real reason to believe the GFS, as it is on its own and it is showing a scenario that almost never plays out for us. But man, how sweet would that be? 1-3 inches of snow and blowing snow before an arctic shot. I really hope this idea gains some traction.
  16. Exactly, it’s not even Christmas lol. Waiting til January for snow is standard operating procedure around here.
  17. Looks like all the ensemble guidance agrees on new years warmth. How are we looking past the warm up and start entering our prime snow climo?
