Columbia — Just had 0.41” in hardly 10 mins followed by immediate heavy sunshine.

I mowed earlier this week but only about 1/4 of the lawn really needed it and it had been 3-4 weeks since last mowing. Am always happy to see lawn go brown and dormant. Vaca from mowing. I know it will green up when the rains come so a few weeks of brown lawn is a welcomed break.

98.1 today. Morning low 76.5 rather above-average for a Columbia kinda morning.

A quick .25” between 5-5:30pm today. Middle of last night’s storms gave 1.65”. Brings my June to 3.98” after almost no rain for better part of 3 weeks. Prior to last 2 days, most of my rain fell June 1-5.
