    hopefully a northern trend can save us, if the ull is too south we get cold rain, so a northern trend would actually benefit us, still 4d out hopefully this can change for the better but it can also continue to change for the worse, lets see what happens on 18z eps/gefs

    we alr have a general idea of what's going to happen, C-0.5" for most people and maybe up to an inch in isolated spots if a band of heavy snow forms. atp models in general, esp globals/ensembles aren't useful and its just better to watch and nowcast

    If we don't get measurable snow today at the airports, barring the 6th, we'll have to wait until late Feb at the earliest to have a chance which would break the records at all airports. 2-23-1973: 0.1" DCA 2-21-1973: 1.2" BWI 1-27-2009: 2.0" IAD(already broken by 4 days and counting)
