While we now have over a foot here, a place like Millis could have even more. We were on the southern end of that death band for a couple of hours.

5-6 inches of heavy wet glop, most of which froze over this week and didn't much melt away.

2" in last hour, now 12" here. Had 2 hrs of 4"/hr. Still coming down at least 1"/hr rate or better.

That death band is slowly moving SE now, so we will be getting into the 2"/hr rates instead of the 4"/hr, lol.

All I can say is that if the long-standing GFS has been so accurate, why are they replacing it? It is not getting an upgrade as has been done in the past and has been done with the Euro. It is being replaced.

Unless you know the accuracy of it around the globe, you just can't say it's a local issue.

Instead of dealing with data issues on the v16 and FV3, NCEP should commission a team to study why all of its models are so different so close in this winter. It's not enough to say that each model has its own idiosyncrasies, because garbage in = garbage out.

The Ukie has a drop of 23mb in 18 hrs. If only we can get that just a bit more to the NW.

Actually was better than 0z for SE areas and the cape, the same elsewhere.
