It's the Euro vs the world once again on the op.

The Euro is all alone in that day 12 depiction of the deep trough in the east with a big warmup here. None of the ensembles show that, and neither does the Euro-AI.

So would I. Another 5" would get me to 19" for the season, halfway there with Feb still ahead of us.

18z GFS doubled down on Wed with enhanced qpf throughout. Time for the others to catch up. Although we are closer in on this, if I remember correctly, the last storm the GFS led the way, albeit too bullish, while the EURO was ots until it finally got a clue.

Got down to 0F here last night. Tonight the Euro has it -2F, while the always warmer GFS has it at 8F. I'll go with the Euro. The ridiculous UK has it at 14F.

Lots of nice chances on the GFS for the next 2 weeks. No real warmups during the period. Will struggle to even reach 40F.

The Euro is determined to go out the way it came in - meh. Big cutback in qpf from 12z. -

03z RAP bumped up qpf totals a bit in E MA. So the mesos for the most part are not putting a damper on the global models. Edit- I don't think the RAP is actually a meso.

The qpf has overproduced tonight by 50% from what the GFS had for us here, .35 vs .23 on the 18z run. It's just about over now. Here's hoping it does the same tomorrow.

I don't know about that map, but the NWS has a winter storm warning for all of Norfolk County as of this moment, which includes Norwood.

I was mainly referring to the tv mets.

This is contrary to many met predictions (Stein for one) of the heaviest snow being in western areas.

1 in 10 chance so maybe there's an ensemble member that has blizzard conditions.

21z RAP cut back in western areas, but held serve in eastern areas. Was actually a bit colder since it was east of 15z, so the ratios are slightly better this time in the eastern areas.

Most of the models have shown E MA getting the best goods.

That was just for the 2nd wave. Total was 1.06.

Qpf was .01 less here than at 12z - .82. GFS held serve.
