    Man, that 0z GFS looks like winter is just beginning with days of below zero temps in the upper plains, MN and WI as we go into March.

    If the FV3 GFS is going to score a coup, the 06z run would be it.

    Albany gets an inch while Philly gets 6-8", even allowing for Philly getting 2" in the first wave. I've just about had all the crap I can stand from these models.

    One more panel on the run and that high has receded up into Labrador.

    Big change at h5 on 0z CMC from 12z. High to the north is now SE of James Bay and stronger at 1042 mb vs 1034 mb over N ME/NH. That allows the system to come in closer with more qpf. It is the CMC, but still.

    Also keep in mind that thus far this winter season when a cutter or rainer has shown 7 days out, it has almost always verified.

    I didn't see any torches for the next 16 days on the 0z GFS. That is, unless we have redefined the word "torch".
