  1. Well have so far hit 93 as a high for today (90+ day #6 for August, #26 since May), and am currently partly sunny with lots of cumulus, and 92, with dp 76 (my station is listing a "Feels like" of 104.4).
  2. Looks like I may have bottomed out at 77 and it's currently partly sunny and 78 with dp 76.
  3. I hit a surprising 93 just after 3 pm and thankfully the dews mixed out and fell out of the mid-upper 70s down to the low 70s. It's currently mostly sunny and 89 with dp 71.
  4. At about 11:48, I briefly tapped 91, and it's currently 91 with dp still 77. I'm not even going to venture out for that. That is now 90+ day #5 for August (#25 since May)
  5. My "low" was 77 (may have been the warmest "low" this season so far) and I had the steamy windows early this morning to boot. Am off to the races at 84 already before 9 am, with dp 76!
  6. Just missed 90 today (got to 89 as a high) and am currently 84 a few minutes after a pretty sunset, with dp 74.
  7. Went to bed with popcorn on the radar and woke up to find someone ate it before It got here. Ended up with a final high of 91 yesterday (just after 3:30 pm) and had a low of 72 this morning. Currently unsettled - starting out sunny and now mostly cloudy with breaks of sun and 77, with dp 73.
  8. Just tapped 90 for the first time today just before 3:30 pm. That's #4 in August (#24 since May). Currently 90 and partly cloudy, with some cumulus now bubbling up, and a dp of 74.
  9. Well the overcast suddenly cleared, the sun burst out, and the temp shot right up to 89. So looks like I may just hit that 90 today. Currently mostly sunny and 89 with dp 76 (yeah ).
  10. LOL I have had those cicada killers buzzing out front all through June and some of July but haven't seen them recently. I'm just glad to finally hear ONE cicada! My low ended up being 71 @5:47 am and it doesn't look like I'm gonna hit 90 today with all the overcast. The highest that I reached so far was 87 and it's currently an overcast 86 (including some breaks in the cloud deck) with dp 73.
  11. I did manage to get a whopping 0.01" of rain some time between 11 pm and midnight. Am currently at 73 (low so far) with dp 70.
  12. The odd boundary has been passing over me with some dark clouds and I had popped out to take a look. And mark this date - I FINALLY FINALLY heard my first cicada! Just one. Also heard a couple crickets. Took this damn long. Temp down to 84 with dp 69.
  13. That larger cell in northern Montco appears to be spitting out an outflow boundary. I keep thinking the whole thing will disintegrate before getting here but I do see what looks like some kind of gust front thing to the west. Still 88 and with dp 74. Lightning detector is picking up some convection in the area.
  14. Just missed ya! It's already fizzling on the way here and I really don't expect anything unless something bubbles up out of nowhere. It's currently cloudy and 88 with dp 73.
  15. STS for northern parts of Bucks, Chester, Montco -
  16. I briefly tapped 96 just after 3 pm and and it's currently partly cloudy and 94 with what IS an atrocious dp of 76.
  17. Already tapped 91 just before 11 am this morning and it's currently 91 with a sticky dp of 75. I don't think I'll hit PHL's forecast 97 temp (I usually run a couple degrees cooler although that depends on the position of the Bermuda high), but will see how close I get. Am at an "official" new heatwave with day #3 of 90+ for the month (#23 since May).
  18. I think September is usually the peak month - ocean temps for the Atlantic are pretty much at max and that helps to fuel the cyclogenesis. It's pretty toasty right now as it is! I think climatically, the tropical systems have become one of the major sources of rain in the midatlantic states after often-dry summers and can usually save the area from being in extended droughts like other parts of the country. Still sitting at 71 but the dp has ticked up to 70.
  19. When CoolHandMike was talking about his year's data, I started scanning mine and saw the difference in precipitation between last year and this year around the same time. I know this year it seems that rain was front-loaded in spring before drying up. Agree with Birds though, it'll ramp up eventually. Right now most of the cyclones have been going in the Pacific. I ended up hitting 91 as a high yesterday a few minutes after the previously-reported 90 and so far have 71 as a low this morning and it's currently 71 with dp 69.
  20. Hit 90 #2 for August and #22 since May, just after 2 pm. It's currently sunny and 90 with a dp of 66, so not too too bad.
  21. I managed to make it up one more degree to 91 as a high yesterday just before 4 pm and had a low this morning of 70. This morning it's currently 71 with dp a much lower 63.
  22. i hit 90 #1 for August and #21 since May. The dewpoints are up though. It's currently a partly sunny 90 with scattered cumulus, and dp is 73.
  23. I salute anyone trying and managing to get 1/2 a garden of veggies going this year considering how out-of-whack the weather has been - excessive rain in spring, late frosts/freezes in May, and then the inconsistent rain along with the heat. I overwinter some citrus and a fig and was late getting those out. I have blueberries that had the rare occurrence of flowers getting frost-killed (over the years they normally were fine but this year not so much). Decided to just have some herbs (in a raised planter) and call it a season. In any case as an OBS - thanks to the overcast nearly all day yesterday, I never reached 80, where my high was 77. The sun did finally come out late in the afternoon. As for today, my low was 68 and it's currently sunny and 70 with dp 70.
  24. I actually got another hundredth of an inch from a stray radar return over me some time between 9 am - 10 am, giving me 0.35" for the day and 0.39" over the 2 days. Currently overcast and 71 with dp 68.
  25. Ended up with 0.04" of rain yesterday giving me 1..65" total for the month of July. And thankfully more passed over here this morning and I pretty much finished with 0.34" (total 0.38" for 2 days), and I'll take it given that this may be it for much of the rest of the week. Bottomed out at 66 this morning and it's currently overcast, misty, and 67 with dp 66.
