  1. A relatively "heavier" band is coming over me but still have SN- with nothing sticking on the grass or colder surfaces yet. The ground was probably too warm the past couple days. Would need pretty heavy rates to chill the ground at this point. Temp is down to 34.
  2. Temp now down to 35 and getting light snow and a little fog. Rate is still light so not seeing stickage yet.
  3. Temp here is down to 39 and if I stare long enough, I am making out some flakes starting to mix in with the drizzle.
  4. Have been getting very light rain/drizzle the past half hour or so here in NW Philly. High IMBY was 44 today and it's currently down to 42 with the dews now moved from the mid-20s to the upper-20s. You can kindof see where a rain/snow line is...
  5. Looking at overnight radar, I may have had some light returns overnight although temps remained above freezing through the night. Currently getting some light flakeage with a temp of 34.
  6. Currently sitting at 50 here with vis. barely 1/10th of a mile. Was glad that Mt. Holly finally lofted something for this fog. Am up to 0.32" rain for the past 2 days so far (0.19" yesterday and 0.13" today).
  7. Ended up with 1.31" rain Monday and 0.20" rain on Tuesday for 1.51" for the 2-day event. Had a high of 57 yesterday and am back down to a wintery 33 at the moment with some flurries.
  8. Seems my accumulated snow started after 4 am this morning depositing 0.3", but with the temps above freezing the whole time (33 - 34). Currently finishing up the last band and it's 33 with light snow.
  9. Bottomed out at 22 this morning, coldest since November 13th here. It will be interesting to see what happens next week with the rain and CFP timing.
  10. This was like a slow-moving light snow squall and didn't give me as much as what I got a couple days ago. Ended up with more of a dusting... barely hitting 0.1" (as it was apparently doing some melting on contact). Currently overcast and 35.
  11. I watched this coming in on the radar and have a coating of snow starting to build up from some big flakes on the cars and grassy surfaces. Temp is 34.
  12. Ended up with another coating of 0.25" with the wrap-around for a total of 0.50" wet slushy stuff. The temp stayed above freezing here the entire event.
  13. Looks like I made it under one of the pivoting bands and I now have some light snow (large flakes) and a renewed partial coating on the cold surfaces (mainly cars and grass). Current temp is 34.
  14. There is stuff pivoting around but it will probably mostly stay over Jersey (although there are some bands by you).
  15. Just popped out to get a package that was delivered and the flakes are flying - basically pancake flurries. Temp still at 36.
  16. The precip had pretty much ended here although something is looping around. I did see where the WWA was dropped here in Philly too. Currently overcast and 36.
  17. I think the problem is figuring out the meso scale probabilities where they overdo the convection that could draw in and self-generate cold air that would up the chances for a switch to all-frozen. What often kills that scenario is warm air that filters in well above the surface due to the (relatively) "warmer" ocean temps and unless there's a big arctic high to the north, it just can't get the cold air down through the whole column.
  18. I've been watching the rain/slow line slowly moving off the coast with the blues and purples filling in over your area. Was wondering if that was translating into real snow or what.
  19. Still getting a light but cold drizzle here and whatever snow fell this morning is gone. Am up to 0.17" of liquid today and temp is currently 35. Have been watching that wide band in Jersey pivoting and backing in from the NE as the low moves east but am not sure if a band would make it this far west before the storm moves away.
  20. The snow mixed with rain and is now all light rain/drizzle here for the past hour with temp @34. Melting underway. Got about 1/4" slushy coating on the car.
  21. Had a rain/snow mix a couple hours ago (picked up 0.08" rain overnight) that dusted the car and colder surfaces. Now have SN- with a coating on those colder surfaces (including the grass), with marginal temps at 33.
  22. Looks like today/tomorrow may be a nowcast storm. So far picked up 0.07" of rain overnight and the temp is hovering not much above freezing at 34 here.
  23. I was in the 34 - 35 temp range much of the day until later this afternoon when the temps started creeping up to 37, which is my current temp (with light drizzle/mist). Have picked up 0.53" so far today but didn't see any flakes or ip.... at least yet. Have also been semi-following the wild model gyrations trying to deal with the coastal and where it sets up. I expect there may be some surprised folks tomorrow if this all verifies. Even Amazon seemed to realize something was up when when they sent out another delivery truck and I received a couple packages about 30 minutes ago that were due for delivery tomorrow that they went on and delivered today (about 15 minutes after I received today's expected deliveries)!
