  1. I'm finally getting swiped by some of that. Walks and streets are wet (nothing measurable yet). I'm about 5 miles SW of Jenkintown (had bought my last car there at one of the dealers on the Fairway). Edit - the bucket tipped for 0.01".
  2. Not a drop here yet. The southern part of the line has been really dragging and fizzling (maybe due to the instability focusing further north with the higher temps there today). Seeing a lot of dark clouds rolling by overhead but nothing from them. If that blob in Chesco manages to hang together as it crawls east, I might get swiped by it. Temp is down to 75 here.
  3. Looks like it fizzled out except for a small blob Chesco heading for Delco. The light returns showing over me aren't making it to the ground. Temp did drop down to 78.
  4. I figured your camera would get all excited about that line.
  5. Yeah it's been training over that are for awhile now. I topped off at 85 (so far) but it's down to 84 now but with a dp of 69 and some ominous clouds off to the west.
  6. Norman, OK lofted a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Western Burbs
  7. Ended up with a high of 83 Wednesday and of 78 yesterday (due to the overcast tropical-ey conditions), with 0.09" rain. Finally got chance to move the rest of my overwintering tropical/subtropical plants (including herb seedlings) outside. Some of that should have been out a month ago but the April showers and May frosts were precluding that. Currently 72 with dp 68 and overcast with mist.
  8. Had another heavy shower rotate through here around 2:30 pm depositing an additional 0.05" of rain, so now up to 0.43" for the day (making it a1.21" 2-day total). Sun is back out and temp is creeping back up again and now at 70. The high was 75 so far earlier today before this latest shower, after a low of 64.
  9. I ended up with a good soaking yesterday (after the year-long faucet was suddenly shut off). Was socked in with fog this morning although not as thick as it could have been. Had 0.78" of rain yesterday and 0.38" so far today (total for 2 days = 1.16"). It's been interesting to watch the radar and the low's bands pivoting up up and away. Currently 67 and muggy/misty.
  10. I was watching that too and it was pretty cool that it came all the way into PA!
  11. Had some rain this morning but not enough to tip the bucket, however it certainly added humidity. After a low of 62 this morning and mostly overcast through to almost 11 am, I ended up hitting 85 today. Currently a hazy but mostly sunny 83, with dews running in the upper 50s to low 60s.
  12. I think I've hit my high today of 65 after a chilly low of 39 earlier this morning. Had clear blue skies much of the day and now seeing some scattered cumulus this late afternoon. Currently 64 and mostly sunny.
  13. I was literally looking at my radar archive and KPHL reported a 51 mph gust.
  14. Some gust front came through here with some pretty loud winds. It wet the ground but not enough to be measurable. Temp is 58 and clearing behind this line.
  15. Had a shower just before 8 am depositing 0.06" here. This morning's low of 46 here was much warmer than yesterday's 33. Currently 56 and overcast.
  16. Now you know... I went to the one near me on Friday and there was a line but it moved relatively quickly (at least for the time of morning I was there - ~9 am). Drove out to Assi Plaza yesterday and was able to go in before the lines started but when I left, the lines were out the door (it had already gotten packed at the checkouts). Temp here recovered pretty quickly and now up to 62. Dews are up in the 40s as well. All blue sky and sunny.
  17. Ended up with a high of 47 yesterday here and was out in North Wales shopping yesterday in the wind. Bottomed out at 33 (32.7) around 4:30 am this morning after the winds went calm overnight, but a few wind puffs not longer after has sent the temp rise in motion. Currently 35 with lots of high clouds with the sunrise.
  18. Now down to 32 (32.2) and still breezy. Definite arctic/polar CAA going on as the dp is 19.
  19. Ended up with a high of 58 yesterday with 0.56" of rain before midnight and an additional 0.01" just after midnight as the line was clearing out. The heaviest band came through just after 9 pm last night with ~0.5"/hr rates. And just after 11 pm, the temp dropped about 7 degrees, from 45 to 38. Currently just barely 33 (32.5) and windy... and had that wind not been there, the temps probably would have hit hard freeze territory in the mid-20s. As a note, I remember at least one time awhile ago, when we had a hard freeze in the NW parts of the city and surrounding 'burbs in mid-May. I recall taking a trip to the old Hechinger's hardware chain in Jenkintown (originally a Wanamakers and now a Raymour and Flannagan & Trader Joe's), where they had all kinds of tender vegetable plants and herbs and other plants that were left out that night of the freeze, and every single one was completely dead. After that, many nurseries in the area put up signs for years to indicate that they would not be offering tender annuals until "after May 21st" (or similar later May date). They gradually lifted that restriction although I think there was a more recent late cold snap too and the notices went back up again...
  20. Ended up with 0.08" rain yesterday and a high of 54. Winds dropped off overnight and took the temps with them where I bottomed out this morning @43. The clouds of this morning broke up pretty quickly and it's now mostly sunny and temp is on its way up and at 45.
  21. Eventually made it up to 59 yesterday and after a low of 50 this morning, currently 53 and overcast.
  22. Yeah I had been saving some of my radar shots the afternoon of of 4/29 and using DOX and noticed that DIX was back. (1st screenshot is DOX & 2nd is DIX around the same time)
  23. I made it up to 75 yesterday and then the winds came, dried out the air, and you could feel the CAA as the temp steadily dropped. Bottomed out at 45 this morning. Currently at 55 and still breezy.
  24. Ended up hitting 77 as a high yesterday and only dropped to 61 this morning. Currently up to 73 and sunny here.
  25. Some showers came through here after 3 am and deposited 0.11" IMBY. Ended up hitting 72 yesterday after a low of 50. This morning's low was a bit warmer at 54 and it's currently 63 (sun had popped out earlier this morning but is gone now behind overcast skies).
