  1. @Itstrainingtime looks like you should finally get your rain in Maytown with these cells currently moving in.
  2. Damn that stinks. Sounds like something unsavory may have happened to cause the divorce. Unfortunate.
  3. You remind me of my old Mexican neighbor from many years back who used to mow quite literally every other day, and afterwards would spend endless hours hand clipping stuff with scissors. Kid you not. He once intimated to me that it was mainly to get away from his wife haha. I will be mowing for the 4th time on Thursday, prior to the weekend wetness.
  4. Tell the Drought Monitor it can go ahead and taker a snooze for a bit.....
  5. Didn’t encounter anything lower than 34 on my travels to the train station this morning. No real signs of frost, perhaps a touch if I squint hard enough through some of the low-lying rurals.
  6. Morning weather friends. It looks like things are mostly going as expected with us currently back in the top spot for hottest April ever at 58.5 degrees, even with Thursday and Friday not quite bringing the heat in the way that was expected. But a cool final week is set to knock things back a degree or two. I did some quick calculations and I'm going with a final 7-day average temp of 52.3, which would bring us down to a final average monthly temp of ~57.2 -- good for a tenth ahead of 1915 for 3rd place but a full degree behind 1941 for 2nd place. It has been written. Looks like a classic spring week ahead. Enjoy, everyone.
  7. Really strong winds here when the main line arrived, took me off guard. Have some friends with some tree damage. Rain wasn’t overly heavy though. A little more than a half inch here thus far.
  8. Weeeeelllll my wife is on board soooooo……hey yo! Alright alright, I’ll see myself out haha.
  9. Well only the Safe Harbor to worry about down here and if you have problems with that, well, you have bigger issues haha. Spoken like a true river rat! Yes indeed, Lake Clarke. We have the river to ourselves today. So serene.
  10. First day on the river. Just a glorious day. Have a great weekend everybody!
  11. I have a buddy who lives in Bethel on the western coast of Alaska and boy have they been brutally cold lately.
  12. Apologies. My numbers brain has a mind of its own sometimes ha.
  13. MDT is at 6.64" for the year, so they already have that mark beat.
  14. I know this wasn't directed at me but my driest start to the year was 2012 when I had only 8.55" from Jan thru April. My driest April was 2015 with 1.36". MDT has had under an inch in April three times, with the record being .45" in 1985. Their driest start to a year (Jan - April) looks to be 1946 with 6.55".
  15. My brotha, MDT has not been above 86 and neither has MU, which is a relatively warm spot for the LSV. It's likely most of us have zero 90 degree days in April. Now, if you're talking the Canderson hotbox, well, that may be a different story ha. You are right we should be back in the top spot after Saturday. However, to take 4 degrees off and drop out of the top 20 from there would require an average temp of ~42 over the final week, which I don't see happening. More than likely, we average somewhere in the 50-55 range during that period and knock a degree or two off, landing somewhere solidly in the top 10 and perhaps top five. Like you said, the records are tightly bunched at that point. I will now stop disagreeing with people for the day haha.
  16. That was absolutely insane. Wow, what a watch. Reed is uuuuhhhhh........something else haha.
  17. I'm not sure, have yet to venture beyond this board.
  18. That is one of the best looking tornadic radar signatures I have ever seen. Goodness.
  19. I'm at 7.46" YTD. I may have already asked this at some point, but does anyone in the forum have less than my 1.5" of snowfall this winter?
  20. No sign of frost anywhere until I went through the low-lying rurals, at which point the temp dropped to 32 and frost was fairly abundant. About to board the train, where a toasty temp of 70 awaits. Mornin’ all.
  21. Damn. We at least had a shower last night. Only to the tune of a few hundredths but still something. Tough sledding 'round here.
  22. I forget when it was but I saw that post you made referencing the hard ground and boy howdy you weren't kidding. I did some grass patching on Friday and I couldn't even rake the ground, just dry as a bone and hard as a rock. Not expecting my seed to do much ugh.
  23. Morning all. Well well well, I see we sit at 58.5 for average monthly temp. I know a guy who may have predicted that last week tehe. I also said to keep an eye out for the max min record falling on saturday and sure enough it went down in a heap. Man, it feels good tooting my own horn on a Monday morning. Hey, the victories don't come often so I'll take 'em haha. I do think it's looking more and more evident that the rest of the month will have enough cool spells that we fall short of the record so I will likely be losing my shekels on that front. And as for rain, not much to speak of around here. We got .12" for the entire weekend. Seems like many of the same places that were the most severely shafted with snow totals are getting screwed in the rain department as well. Not much on the horizon either. In other news, Death Valley and Peter Sinks secured their rightful places atop the throne with the national high and low of 98 and 8, so all is right with the world.
  24. I’m getting robbed left and right over here, just skimmed with everything.
  25. Only .09” out this way. Sure hope we get in on some of that storm action that’s out to the west right now. I see one little cell just skirted right by you.
