  1. Bingo. Easterly type flow for the next three days equals nothing nice.
  2. Today is definitely the mowing day. I will be grabbing a beer and firing her up the second I am off work.
  3. A rare feat ha. Yeah, most of the heavy action seemed to stay more along the Route 23 corridor and points just south. Don't forget the "Ante Meridiem - Eastern Daylight Time"
  4. A pleasantly surprising .7" of total rainfall here, to go along with some marble-seized hail. A nice precursor to the wet'n'wild weekend ahead.
  5. There are multiple mPing reports right by my house for 1/4 to 1/2” hail. Will have to ask the wifey.
  6. @Itstrainingtime looks like you should finally get your rain in Maytown with these cells currently moving in.
  7. Damn that stinks. Sounds like something unsavory may have happened to cause the divorce. Unfortunate.
  8. You remind me of my old Mexican neighbor from many years back who used to mow quite literally every other day, and afterwards would spend endless hours hand clipping stuff with scissors. Kid you not. He once intimated to me that it was mainly to get away from his wife haha. I will be mowing for the 4th time on Thursday, prior to the weekend wetness.
  9. Tell the Drought Monitor it can go ahead and taker a snooze for a bit.....
  10. Didn’t encounter anything lower than 34 on my travels to the train station this morning. No real signs of frost, perhaps a touch if I squint hard enough through some of the low-lying rurals.
  11. Morning weather friends. It looks like things are mostly going as expected with us currently back in the top spot for hottest April ever at 58.5 degrees, even with Thursday and Friday not quite bringing the heat in the way that was expected. But a cool final week is set to knock things back a degree or two. I did some quick calculations and I'm going with a final 7-day average temp of 52.3, which would bring us down to a final average monthly temp of ~57.2 -- good for a tenth ahead of 1915 for 3rd place but a full degree behind 1941 for 2nd place. It has been written. Looks like a classic spring week ahead. Enjoy, everyone.
  12. Really strong winds here when the main line arrived, took me off guard. Have some friends with some tree damage. Rain wasn’t overly heavy though. A little more than a half inch here thus far.
  13. Weeeeelllll my wife is on board soooooo……hey yo! Alright alright, I’ll see myself out haha.
  14. Well only the Safe Harbor to worry about down here and if you have problems with that, well, you have bigger issues haha. Spoken like a true river rat! Yes indeed, Lake Clarke. We have the river to ourselves today. So serene.
  15. First day on the river. Just a glorious day. Have a great weekend everybody!
  16. I have a buddy who lives in Bethel on the western coast of Alaska and boy have they been brutally cold lately.
  17. Apologies. My numbers brain has a mind of its own sometimes ha.
  18. MDT is at 6.64" for the year, so they already have that mark beat.
  19. I know this wasn't directed at me but my driest start to the year was 2012 when I had only 8.55" from Jan thru April. My driest April was 2015 with 1.36". MDT has had under an inch in April three times, with the record being .45" in 1985. Their driest start to a year (Jan - April) looks to be 1946 with 6.55".
  20. My brotha, MDT has not been above 86 and neither has MU, which is a relatively warm spot for the LSV. It's likely most of us have zero 90 degree days in April. Now, if you're talking the Canderson hotbox, well, that may be a different story ha. You are right we should be back in the top spot after Saturday. However, to take 4 degrees off and drop out of the top 20 from there would require an average temp of ~42 over the final week, which I don't see happening. More than likely, we average somewhere in the 50-55 range during that period and knock a degree or two off, landing somewhere solidly in the top 10 and perhaps top five. Like you said, the records are tightly bunched at that point. I will now stop disagreeing with people for the day haha.
  21. That was absolutely insane. Wow, what a watch. Reed is uuuuhhhhh........something else haha.
  22. I'm not sure, have yet to venture beyond this board.
  23. That is one of the best looking tornadic radar signatures I have ever seen. Goodness.
  24. I'm at 7.46" YTD. I may have already asked this at some point, but does anyone in the forum have less than my 1.5" of snowfall this winter?
