  1. I saw PHL officially recorded .3" of snow, thus ending their streak of consecutive days without measurable snow at 325.
  2. Well, it looks like my prediction from last week of MDT ending as the third warmest January on record was correct, just barely. But, my prediction of us getting measurable snowfall last night was not. Radar looked half decent through the night but it just wasn't materializing on the ground. Absolutely nothing at my house. Surprised to hear Nut got some out towards the northeastern part of the county. Well, things look to be a bit boring for a while. Should give me time to present my MU snowfall study that I've been promising for weeks but haven't yet delivered on haha.
  3. I concur. The 18z HRRR likes my .1" estimate for the LSV, so there's always that ha.
  4. Mrs. Snowman (that's a nod to @Itstrainingtime tehe) reports steady light snow on the home front. Radar looks half decent. Might be able to get .1" in the books before we even get to the overnight "potential". Hey, at least it looks like winter ha.
  5. Can confirm we had some brief snow showers roll through Harrisburg over lunch. That's all I got. Carry on.
  6. My wife reported white stuff falling from the sky as she dropped the boy off at preschool around 9am. I can neither confirm nor deny as I sit here in our capital city. Still think we might be in for a surprise measurable event tomorrow morning. Again, on the order of a couple tenths, but still....
  7. It will get ya every time ha. And yes I saw that HRRR depiction and I actually think we'll wake up to a measurable event Wednesday morning. Thinking somewhere in the .1-.3 range. Just a strong hunch I have.
  8. I was studying that myself. I still think we come in third place, as I mentioned last week, but gonna be close.
  9. Crikey, a national low of -59 at Peter Sinks, UT! When paired with the high of 90 at Pharr, TX that makes for a Lower 48 diurnal range of 149 degrees. Wowsers. I'm feeling less than enamored with the snow outlook. I need someone to find me some digital white..... @Blizzard of 93 @paweather @Bubbler86 anyone??
  10. Looks like about 43 my way. I have been reduced to one of those bird thermometers you stick to your window. It’s a sad state of affairs over here haha.
  11. Had the kids at the park today. If not for the wind it would have been a perfect March day. I’ll dive in more on the snow chances come Monday. Y’all enjoy championship Sunday. Cheers.
  12. After pouring over approximately 3,749 reports from various sources, I am going with a total snowfall yesterday of 1.2" on .7" liquid. All evidence of said event is gone. I think we're going to end up with the third warmest January on record at MDT. 1932 will be tough to ever beat for warmest, not sure what went down that year ha. National high of 88 at multiple locations in Florida and low of -28 in Angel Fire, NM. Cool beans.
  13. Unfortunately for you, only one of those scenarios represents our prevailing winds
  14. Just took the trash out and there is nary a trace of snow left anywhere in my development. Soooo that was fun while it lasted.
  15. Pouring rain here. Some nice training cells have popped up right over my location.
  16. Well that was a miserable walk in the rain to the train station. Looks like what fell here in Harrisburg will be mostly gone before long. Still nice to see some white. Onward.
  17. Thought snow had ended up here in Harrisburg but it has just started again, looks to be the last hurrah. Buddy and I were being absolutely pelted in the face with blowing snow on the walk back from lunch. I would guess 2 inches up here but have no way of verifying that. Looking like the over/under of one inch for back home will be pretty darn close, just hope there's some left by the time I get there ~5pm.
  18. I'm stuck up here in Harrisburg so keep me posted on what's happening back at home brotha!
  19. Snow has broken out here in downtown Harrisburg and is making for a beautiful scene. Let's get it in while we can. I would love to be pleasantly surprised.
  20. Yuck. But this is the way I see it playing out, unfortunately. I'll be off scouring the models for the next thread-the-needle event that's sure to let us down ha.
  21. Nearly all the short-term guidance is paltry for the southern LSV and frankly, for much of the state in general. Given arrival time and temps, I see a very low impact event today and doubt there are many issues at all on the roadways. Just hoping for a period of some intense white rain to lighten the mood here in Harrisburg. Congrats to those up north, although even there I doubt we see much in the way of impressive totals.
  22. Particularly in a year when there has been little entrenched cold to be found, thus limiting any up-front overrunning potential. As so many have alluded to, we just really need to get out of this long-lasting pattern we've been in where seemingly all major storms want to cut to our west. Until that changes, little else will. But our time will come.....eventually.
  23. presented without comment.... Edit: 3K is even much worse
  24. Yes sorry I meant HRRR. If you squint hard enough it's maybe a pinch better than 12z but Lancaster still basically nill. On the bright side I might get to witness some decent rates in Harrisburg over lunch break.
