  1. Just got home from the Harrisburg Mile and very disappointed to see only ~.1” in the gauge. On the other hand, very not disappointed in running a 7:06 in what was the first race I have ever run in my adult life. We got dumped on right as our age group heat started too. All in all, it was a cool experience. I’m sore as a whore but very proud of myself.
  2. Beautiful storm here rolling through as i wait along the river for the race to start.
  3. Thanks. My age group doesn't go off until 7:20. I think it will be significantly better by then. I hope.
  4. No drinking before the Harrisburg Mile, I'm gonna have a hard enough time ha. Where do you 'tend again? Cork & Fork?
  5. And somehow nearly all of it missed my place. I'm in Harrisburg but looks like only a couple hundredths fell. HRRR still likes activity later this evening so hold tight friend.
  6. I matched you to a T with .47”. Low of 72. Today is Harrisburg Mile day. Pray for me.
  7. Seems like ever since I moved I’ve been keeping up with you better. Chickies Ridge paying dividends ha. We were at Blue Collar bar at Four Seasons Golf Course, if you’re familiar, and boy was the golf course lovin’ that deluge.
  8. All good here. We were at a happy hour for a friend’s surprise Bday party when the storm hit. It blew around some umbrellas outside but nothing too crazy. No real damage in our neighborhood either, but a beautiful line that rolled through! Looks like about a half inch. MUCH needed.
  9. These days there is no getting home early. Amtrak is doing track work between Lancaster and Harrisburg, and as a result, all midday trains are canceled. They provide bus service instead, which absolutely no one utilizes haha. 4:25 is the earliest train I can take home. Normal full service is slated to return in November, perhaps earlier, as I've heard they are ahead of schedule. Amtrak being ahead of schedule on anything would be a first for them ha.
  10. Windy as all get-out here in Harrisburg with cells popping all around but looks like downtown will be missed.
  11. JNS, it takes one to know one, so tell me, where did you study your Statistics? Mine was at Penn state, where I also tutored Stats courses, but that was many moons ago and I'm losing my touch with every passing year. I've been impressed with your statistical knowledge displayed on this board.
  12. I'm stuck in Harrisburg but my wife sent me a pic of our station reading exactly the same. Today lived up to the hype, and still on the rise in many places.
  13. Wow. 100+ seems like almost a shoo-in at this point for you guys, barring some early cloud or storm development. Impressive.
  14. Yes. I've been hammering this point recently. I'm not sure why but I just know that over the years I've always noticed big differences between PWS DPs and the official stations. Even more so than temp discrepancies.
  15. I was just going to say that I don't think I saw that mentioned anywhere. Kind of snuck up on us. Today's record of 104 is probably out of reach, although the latest HRRR still wants to throw up a 103 at MDT. It's been pretty consistent with that. We shall see. Off to the races.
  16. Low of 72 but maybe a touch less humidity. Let’s see how high we can go today.
  17. 18z HRRR says both MDT and LNS hit 103 tomorrow. Let's hope that's overdone.
  18. Most of the disparity seems to be driven by the presence of storms, rather than the front pushing through, so I would still lean towards some part of the day getting above 90 if I were a betting man.
  19. ICON has MDT at 84 at 2pm on Wednesday. Has more precip in the area, with LNS 88 at the same time.
  20. Thanks mate. It really did turn out perfect. One of those rare occasions when everything comes off the grill at the exact same time and cooked just right. #MediumRare I've had one day over an inch during that time span -- 1.12" on June 5.
  21. I've been noticing that as well. Was really hoping Wednesday night was going to come through for us. Should have known better ha.
  22. The 3k NAM does indeed get MDT into the low 90s on Wednesday. As does the FV3.
  23. You're on! First up is the NAM, at 11am Wednesday it has MDT at 86 with the front on the approach. Edit: At 2pm MDT is 88 with the front kind of stalled out. A weak front, at that. 5pm MDT 87 and LNS 90. Would be a close call verbatim.
