At least on here, most are aware that the 300+ maps are relatively meaningless and simply for discussion/entertainment purposes. JB’s audience is presumably much wider and some would surely interpret a 378 hour map as a forecast.
GFS has been fairly consistent the last 3 or 4 runs with its depiction of a brutally cold period in that timeframe and the ensembles are showing a notably strong signal for cold considering how far out it is.
