    CPC agrees on their 8-14 day outlook for 95% of the CONUS:

    It’s hard to take a couple of days of -1’s sandwiched in between weeks of big positive departures as a win.

    Nor has the NWS, CPC, weather channel, etc.

    It’s what the models have done 5-7 days ahead of every single seasonable period that’s been advertised this fall.

    If we can’t get out of this pattern now, no matter how many times fall is advertised, who’s to say we can in November or December?

    Exactly what I was afraid would happen. 0-1 below normal days, followed by 3+ above normal days.

    The more I look at model runs, the more I think this number will be 0 or 1.

    Median first freeze is about a week out. No signs of temperatures getting anywhere near freezing anytime soon.

    So how many days below the rapidly falling normals will there be between now and the end of the month? I’d be surprised if it’s more than 3.
